I so wish there was more footage of this concert. I was 16, my friends wanted to see BOC but I went for Iggy. Kiss was the first act - Gene Simmons hair caught on fire - they sucked but they also ushered in a new generation of theatrical, testosterone driven hard rock. Iggy was just amazing. BOC was good, too - but Iggy, damn. Such a great memory.
Russ Healy, I was there too! I was about 15. I had no idea who Kiss was and they blew me away because it was so unexpected. I remember the roadie or whoever running out to put out the fire in Gene's hair. Gene was also throwing this flash paper out into the crowd which I had never seen. I remember being confused by the Stooges as I had never heard them before but it felt dangerous and out of control so I got into it! I actually have no memory at all of B.O.C. and very little of Teenage Lust, not sure why. May have been a bit of the liquor & drugs.... LOL!
