FedEx Express driver here in NJ. We thank you for your kindness. Knowing our name and a little treat once in a while sure does go a long way!! Turning 50 on the 17th of this month, LOVE your channel. Watch a lot of times as I am doing my route. See you when I get there!!!
(I'm NOT that Linda) Salty Linda states she has been to TV many times....I wonder why she keeps going back? My husband and I have been many times, too, and we LOVE it! I got it:) Happy New Year!
Old people can be so crabby! The reason I watch is to hear all about other folks…..and I love hearing about you and Linda! The grandkids are adorable! I am so thankful your boys are getting close…Thank them for their service!!
Those kids are so cute. They did such a-good job. People can be such party poopers. It’s your show. No one should dictate the length. I prefer longer, if it takes a couple sittings, so be it. If it’s shorter I know you’ve been busy. Most people don’t truly understand the time commitment behind the scenes for each show. You have plenty of people that look forward to live vicariously through your show. Thanks again for your time and sharing your love & life with all of us.
I live right outside Lexington, Ky and my homeowners was going to go up $250. I did find coverage with another carrier. It seems like it’s going up all over !
Living near family. A small number of people, of course love living near family, so they move near them. Others say their families are so busy, they rarely saw them. But now they visit them in The Villages and they have great quality time since they are not consumed by their daily routines when they visit. We have 8 kids and 10 siblings and families. We see them all WAY more than we ever had. They love coming to Florida and cart rides.
I agree about probably seeing family members more when living in Florida. One of my cousins (who is childless)who lives in Florida, frequently tells me I would be just a plane ride away from seeing the grandkids. However, for me, it’s not about seeing them for multiple days a year. It’s all the “in between”. All the kids activities, going to all their sports games, or just having them spend the day with you “just because”. One day, I definitely would love to live in TV, just not ready to I guess. My (5) grandkids are my #1.
I purchased a house through The Villages last year. It is nice, but I am having some work done. Just bring money, as some people say. I am still working, but plan on retiring in the near future. When I came to visit my home last summer, I flew into Tampa. Nice airport. I don’t plan on flying into Orlando because of the Disney traffic. I am bringing my small dog with me on my next visit. As for “dog pools,” I think that on really warm days people can let their dog cool off in their bathtub. Or put a little water in a small baby bath tub, put that in your shower, and use a cup to splash water on your dog. I am a fan of “low tech but effective.” I have been enjoying your program for almost a year now. You do a great job.
25 years doing marine canvas, the chapstick is a good lube which will help with what Jerry mentioned about difficulty in unsnapping. If they are the correct snap studs (nickel or stainless) they will not rust.
Happy New Year-Your granddaughter looks just like Linda. I got seven minutes for you to start, after all I am retired so you get that extra minute. LOL, IMO, then life style visit in the south misses the beauty of the old growth in the north, it also is a long cart ride to see all the squares. We are at the mercy of insurance companies, we recently changed insurance companies after their inspection (that we had to pay for) approved our home. Thirty days later they threatened to cancel our insurance if we didn’t upgrade our supply lines to sinks , this is after they had approved us with their inspection.
We use 12 inch dollies from home depot sit plastic containers on top of dollie...anything that sits on the floor in our closets rolls out..even rolls thru house if needed .
Loved your intro! You are very lucky to have all your grandkids living in the same state with you. That is the main reason that is keeping me from moving to TV. Really enjoyed your show last night & again this morning. Those sliders are a good idea. Right now, I keep my mixer, etc in a cupboard, as I like to have our counters free of everything. My hubby gets them out for me when needed (that mixer is heavy!) , but I’m sure, one day, they will permanently gave a home on the counter , with sliders 😊.
Happy New Year to Everyone up in The Villages. After going through Hurricane Ian and Recovery down here in Port Charlotte. Quite the experience with insurance. Thank you for having your guest insurance guy on. Our Insurance also went up a lot. Anyway Have a Nice Day
Thanks for another fun show. Just got to watch so much running this time of year. But I never miss a show since I came across you guys a couple of years ago. Love how positive and kind you too seem to be with each other. Thanks for what you do.
I want to wish you and your family a happy new year from that photo you showed us. You do have a beautiful family and there’s this phrase that I saw that reminds me of my Mom and you, Linda and it says there are angels walking on the Earth, disguised as Moms, and that sounds just like you Linda have great new year.
Hi Jerry and Linda, "the important stuff" to us your loyal viewers IS hearing about your lives, the small and big stuff, about yourselves, family and the weekly sharing that you do about these things. In fact, that's why I subscribed and watch every Monday and Thursday. GREAT intro today with your grandkids, I think you have some upcoming youtube stars for sure!
Happy New Year Linda and Jerry. Yes Linda, Nair is alive and well. Still on store shelves. I hated the smell but loved the results. 27 days till our Celebrity cruise. Al and I are so excited! I still need to get our shirts ordered. We just celebrated our 1 year in TV.
Word scramble was easy again this week! Thanks! Marna and I are in TV for three months this winter and hope to meet you. Fellow Hoosiers and BSU grads. Oh, we will also see you on the Alaska cruise this summer. Been watching your videos for over a year now. Always enjoy them.
Happy New Year! Another great show! You certainly had a crowd over the holidays, and your grandchildren are cute. And at least one wants to be a RUclipsr. Also, thanks for the roof discussion and the legal discussion. That's great information whether you live in the Villages or not.
Watched this whole first show of 2024! Wished it were longer. May the added Day of this Leap Year bring only more happiness your way. Fun new segments and the phone calls really add a new dimension. Solved the scramble. Do you think that title will always be held as the building continues in TV? See ya soon on the Cruise.
From a superviewer to super tubers Happy Everything this 2024! Grand kids were so cute and showed their excitement with their expressions 😊 Great show by both sets of hosts!
I live in Orlando and in my late 40's and I have been watching your channel since I arrived in Florida in February 2020. Thanks for your segments on the roof replacements and estate planning. You both are part of my Monday and Thursday mornings. I just love Linda's laugh, it's so infectious. 😊❤❤❤
Happy New Year! We were on our first lifestyle visit RIGHT NOW in 2017/2018. The week between Christmas and New Years. We stayed in Creekside Villas just off Sumter Square - Loved it! I had discovered TV through Melody Lane's video of her "Craft House." She had turned her entire house into a craft space, it was something to see. Throughout her video, she would say "Here in The Villages" this and "Here in The Villages" that, and I wondered what she was talking about - So I googled it and was almost immediately HOOKED! The Villages doesn't have that promo video any longer, but I saved it. We booked a trip down shortly thereafter to check it out, but have yet to make a purchase. Good tip from Peter! Good news about insurance, but better if they couldn't stick it to you with higher rates. My son's been home from college for the past week and a half, but he leaves tomorrow on a 5:15 AM flight. YIKES! I'm sure going to miss him! Great advice from Amy, we'll have to set up an appointment with her "when we get there." It took me a minute, but I got the scramble! Google had to help me a "tiny" bit, I knew the premise, but not the exact answer, if you get my meaning... Gerry The Golden Bachelor's wedding is also being televised on January 4th. I went to a large audience psychic show once, and the psychic knew TONS of info about my late husband (I was widowed at 29) and it was amazing. None of it was public knowledge, or had been published anywhere. Connie got it right. You'll have your YT award in no time! The other "Linda" must be boring herself. SUPERVIEWER!
Oh Jerry and Linda. Adorable intro with your beautiful grandchildren 🤗. Omg Linda. I still use Nair 😂😂😂. No need to apologize Jerry. We understand and you looked A ok on your New Year’s Eve live. Exactly. You can’t plz everyone so you plz yourselves. Most will stay for the ride. Held an alligator 🐊? Unfortunately there are a lot of fly by night contractors. Oh. A roving reporter. Nice. These phone calls Q & A are great. Awful it seems like insurance companies were taking advantage of homeowners. So the roof issue better but now they may counteract with rates 🤦♀️. Years back I built in the Poconos 2002. Insurance was $600/yr. By 2009; it was up to $1100. Increased every year. Kind of you to be thoughtful of your delivery drivers. In this day of online shopping they become like family. Thanks Amy. Much appreciated. Sweet & salty never fails. Wow. The video is finished. No out and about. Great show. Enjoy the grandchildren if they’re still with you. Have a great week and see you Thursday 🤗
The grandkids opening the show was just darling! Still learning new things from you both. I can now add the Chapstick to our list.🥰 Our house turned 10 years old this past September. That was very valuable and good information we learned about our roof! Thanks for that piece of information as well!❤
Happy New Year J & L. I did watch your new year show, but you left EARLY. I am 68 and I stayed up and got up early to have friends over for breakfast. Did you know that Kitchenaid mixers are made here in Ohio 31 miles from me. The chapstick trick also works good on zippers, such as those on coats and tents. I really liked when you were talking to Margo on the phone and your Gandfather clock and Coockoo clock went off . Those things just make your videos so much FUN. Wishing you both a GREAT new year
Hey guys… great video… quick comment on driving electric carts, I have been driving electric cars for over 7yrs. and do my charging at home, in my garage, no problems.. the headlines you read about lithium battery fires, are the result of damage to the battery pack, if there was an accident, and the pack was damaged and leaking chemicals, that’s what burns.. Also , some batteries recalled from manufacturers, because defects when the pack was put together.. That was so cute, your Grandchildren in the introduction and what a beautiful Family photo! ❤ Diddlysquat?!!🤣 Haven't heard that word in a long time! The Lifestyle visit is an excellent way to experience how the residents live. I feel sorry for that salty Linda also. We are all an awesome group of people residing here in The Villages! Yay, Villagers! Happy New Year Jerry and Linda. Stay well.❤❤ I got the word jumble!
Happy New Years, Jerry and ILinda! My wife and I are currently looking to purchase a home in The Villages. My wife called a State Farm Insurance company in Ocala for ballpark home owners rates. The company she contacted stated that would not insure any homes older than twenty years old. We were disappointed to say the least since we have had State Farm since the early 90's. See you when we get there!!
Happy New Year! 🎉. I’ve been watching for several months now, first time commenting. Love your channel and all the information. I got the word scramble! We are from central Virginia and hoping to move to Florida this year.
Thanks, as always, for putting so much thought into your videos. I watch all the time, and I’m 20 years away from 55 and retirement to TV! Really appreciate your humility and all the entertainment you provide. Happy New Year!
Your mini Jerry and Linda were adorable!! Cute way to open the show!

I loved the intro with the grandkids! So sweet! Thank you for uploading on the holiday Mondays and for all you efforts. 😊
You are so welcome!
I can see tomorrow’s Villages newspaper headline: “Run on Chapstick clears out years of backed up inventory”
😆😅🤣😅😆
Nair still exists! My daughter uses it
An alternative to chap stick, you can use Vaseline. We used to do this for all snaps for the canvas covers we had on our boat.
Good tip!
Here's to a happy and healthy 2024 to Jerry, Linda, your family, and viewers!
Hearing the gongs going off made me remember just how beautiful your clock is.
Thank you Butch!
My wife was happy you mentioned her in shout outs. Linda Lentz Winters.
THANKS
Soooo cute with the grandkids❤ intro. You can see the excitement in their eyes. What fun.

Yes, Linda, they still make Nair. In fact, I bought some the other day and then remembered why I hadn't used it in a while.....it sure does stink!!!
