Someone probably mentioned it already, but Florida just passed legislation criminalizing squatting in the last coupl of weeks, so hopefully that will take care of the problem.
I was watching one of your videos from 5 months ago. This was where a lady, and I use that word loosely, said you were noxious. I am in healthcare in a legal manner and have dealt with people all of my life. You two are adorable and if I lived there, I would absolutely want you in my circle of friends. Love, love to you sweet, kind people!!!
Hi Jerry and Linda, we have been watching your videos for a few months. You two are adorable together. 😊 We feel like we are friends already, lol. We just haven't met yet. We've been visiting The Villages a few times. We live in Clermont but are hoping to move to The Villages after we sell our home, altho that may take a while. I am Peggy, my husband is Ed. I just wanted to respond about squatters because I have heard our Governor say that squatters will not get away with taking over someone else's home in Florida. I hope that will make the part-time owners feel better about that. I have not heard of squatters near us in Clermont and not in The Villages either. It seems it was happening in more northern states. Lately we watch your videos "every" night and have learned so much from you both so thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. God bless you both and we hope to meet you on one of our visits.
Hi Peggy and Ed. What a nice comment. Sometime when you get up here just give us a shout and if it's possible we'll try to meet up with you. villagesnewcomers@gmail.com
I going to the 4pm show to see Rich Little. He's 85 and has been around forever. I am 56 and remember him as a kid, so def going to see him before, well you know. I love impersonators and he is one of the best. Another great segment guys. You were talking about the gators. Have you heard the story about the 85 year old lady walking her dog in her 55 and up community that was killed in Fort Pierce by a gator. The family is suing the retirement community. Apparently they were not allowed to walk the dogs in the street, so the residents had to walk the dogs in the back yard near the pond with the 11 ft gator. Really sad. Also Jerry, I am always trying to figure out who you remind me of with your skin tone/hair color and it hit me today when you said Celtics............Larry Bird!! Only your better looking.
GM Jerry and Linda & happy Monday. My mum had gout. It was debilitating. Cherries 🍒 and quinine in tonic water is helpful. But once got her on the correct medication 💊 Colchicine she was fine. Allopurinol did not help. Enlightening video question. Never knew of fires associated with lithium batteries 🪫. Lithium broom 🧹 😂. Hilarious. 🐊’s my fear living by water. Bigger than you Jerry. Omg. You are very tall. I’ve seen numerous gators 2009 - 2010 when I frequented Florida every other weekend. And snakes 🐍. Love you sharing the bloopers 😂. At least the parking 🅿️ is free. Great bubble wrap info. Did not know that. I would want a seatbelt in my golf cart. Squatters. Oh my. Glad the incidence is low to hopefully none. Thanks Amy re:trust info. Glad the manager addressed your portion concern. Glad you enjoyed your nutty cheesey salad. Word jumble. I’m getting better. Oh love the sweet & salty intro. 2 lovely sweet and salty. Always appreciate the shoutouts and pics. Great show guys. Have an awesome week and see you Thursday 🤗
Great information with a touch of fun👏👏👏👏☺️☺️! That’s what makes you guys so special and different! Linda keep smiling because your smile is precious ! Love and blessings to you both ❤ Margarita Andino 🌼
I saw the info by bubblewrap about manual opening and closing the garage. Caution. When the door is disconnected in this manner from the motor your garage is vunerable to entrance by outsiders. To prevent this possible intrusion through the garage door, get an electrical tie-wrap and insert it into the hole on the part of the opener where you disengage it from the drive. close the tie-wrap and the outsider can't stick a metal hook he made through the seal at the top of your garage door to hook on to this mechanism to disengage it to allow him to manually open the garage door.
Hi Jerry and Linda the poem from Chuck and Pam is close to our story. A year and 3 months ago we drove into the Villages to visit a childhood friend and saw we loved the community and Mark told us to watch Jerry and Linda and yes you guys did help us to love the Villages so we moved and happy in the Village of Newell.
We enjoy your show and look forward to it every Monday and Thursday. We are both retired teachers from New Jersey with two grown sons. We are glad we found you on You Tube and now on Facebook Looking forward to your next show Ron and Judy Treharne
Love the video, Linda I know how you feel about see your husband so close to a alligator my husband did the same thing he got really close to a alligator over in the the village of Fenny . This one was a big one. Love you guys
Thank you for all that you do to make the world a better place, one video at a time. Keep shining your light and bringing us all closer together! See you on Thursday!🤩😍🥰
The batteries they use in golf carts are pefectly safe if they use LiFeP (Lithium Iron Phosphate). These you need to charge to 100% and they are not going to catch fire. The other main type is NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) Lithium batteries. These are more common in phones and EVs, although the new Tesla Model 3 have LiFeP. The NMC batteries you should only charge to 80% and only to 100% on a long trip and you should not let it stay at 100% for long. I only charge my Ebike and my Tesla to 80% unless I am doing a long trip. I hope this helps.
Linda looks younger this week, what has she done different? Best bloopers yet. I think this might only be the 2nd time I know the scramble answer hahaha. Love you guys!

Another great show! Word scramble was done before it went off the screen this week! Hope to meet you guys before we head back home at the end of March. Thanks.
Sorry I am late to the party. The gates are to help control the flow of traffic at intersections we’re GC paths and road way either come together or cross an intersection. I have rode my M/C for 50 years and it didn’t have seatbelts so you probably know my thoughts on that. The driver of the GC accident was cited for no seatbelts because the cart was traveling in excess of 20mph so, it needed to be licensed and operated as a car. Jake
Those town squares are happenin on a weekday, wow. I'm still sticking with a gas car although I did test drive my step mom's Mustang Mach-E it was fast.
NYC is having a huge Li Ion fire problem, mainly due to people modifying batteries and chargers to over charge the batteries to get long run time from them. And mixing chargers and batteries that don't belong together. But if you use common sense and take care of your devices, you should rarely if ever have one catch fire.
Jerry, I can relate about your dog bite. You were bitten by a Chihuahua. I was bitten by another (relatively) small dog….a Dachsund, and oh did that hurt! I will never forget it.

Thank you for the recommendation of The Chop House, we were there Saturday and it was exceptional. Our waiter George was great, the food was great and let's not talk about the dessert. We were disappointed they ran out of the bread pudding, oh well, we'll just have to go again. Lol

Gout - OUCH! My Dad suffered from it - our sympathies. I thought of getting a lithium powered broom, but worry about getting someone to rotate the bristles 🤪Peter - informative segment - keep it up! Love the bloopers 🙃
About the lithium battery fires. There’s a lot of potential problems using the incorrect charger and with electric bicycles purchasing used batteries off resale websites like eBay and others. The case with EV battery fires has a lot to do with which chemical makeup the battery has, there are six different chemical makeups that batteries can have. The two most popular in EV’s are Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide NMC for short and Lithium Iron Phosphate LFP for short. It’s the Cobalt in the battery packs that make them more susceptible to a thermal runaway fire. The LFP batteries do not contain Cobalt and are more stable plus have a longer lifespan than NMC batteries. Hope this helps with the battery question.
You’re welcome. I don’t know about knowing my stuff 😂. I’ve been doing a lot of research in preparation of purchasing a EV. We love watching you two have fun. Thanks for all the great and clean videos. Keep up the great work.
Another great production! Yes, parking can be challenging, but like Jerry said, NBD. TV is America's healthiest hometown from what I understand. 😉 Linda, I have thought a parking structure would be ideal ...or maybe a shuttle service of course that would have to be attached to a parking structure. These are all first world problems that I wouldn't trade.
Great show guys…I agree with Linda…didn’t care for the old sweet and salty intro song. This one’s better but keep searching 😉. We saw 2 huge gators last year on our lifestyle visit. Didn’t bother me at all! It occurred to me I started watching you just as you were coming upon your 1 yr anniversary so I’ve been watching for over 4 years! Time flies when we’re having fun watching J&L! 🤣⛳️🌴☀️
In our 55 or over area is that our association owns the roads - thus not public. We do not have manned gates but we do discourage traffic. I imagine your streets are perhaps maintained by the local county? Your centers such as Spanish Springs need to have public access to make them profitable for the stores. Those stores pay rent and usually a percenage of their income in addition to the landlord. Without enough traffic they would close. Retail is not easy!
We are small with no town squares. We have ver y low speed limits and only a couple ways in and out so no real traffic. Many speed bumps also. @@JERRYANDLINDA You are unique! Enjoy the show
cute show! Informative, and got the word jumble. running off to yet another rehearsal (i have 4 a week) Hope you plan to attend one or both concerts! We know you like to support the Arts!🥰🎟🎶🎶🎶🎶 Thanks (made sure we were subscribed)
Hi Jerry and Linda. I've been interested in the villages. I currently live in Washington state. I have a question about homeowners insurance. I've been seeing (on RUclips) that homeowners insurance is increasing at an alarming rate in Florida in the near future. Are you concerned about that? Great show and thanks David
Last November we were in The Villages to check out the lifestyle, we went into all the rec centers. No one asked us for our guest ID. No one asked at the pool. We heard someone say that if they come to check your id at the pool they can not ask you to get out of the water to check.
I forgot to say, speaking of gators, years ago in the 70s my family was bicycle riding on Hilton Head Island when we saw alligators. I guess you could get used to them but I don't think there are any wild ones here in Raleigh, NC.
Thank you Dot. I have never had it before and to tell you the truth it is 80% better right now so I am thankful. I am knocking on wood that it stays that way.
Hello Jerry and Linda I’m Patricia in Village of Woodbury and I’m waiting and so is others. Linda’s recipe with a video of her making meatloaf and cream peas because I never heard of cream peas. We all know how to make mash potatoes.
Awesome show. I think it's going to be impossible to go all electric as far as cars go for many many years. There is no infrastructure in place to handle the strain on our electrical grid. Not enough power or charging stations right now in places. It would be great for most people to be able to have an electric car. In some cases it isn't going to be practical like long distance vacations or the trucking industries. We saw a truck with a trailer parked at Publix that was unloading a personal golf cart. It could have been a resident returning and dropping it off or maybe someone intending on cruising the cart paths.
Thanks for another great episode! I especially loved the lithium battery segment, as we’re currently in the market for an enhanced golf cart. I just wanted to reach out to make sure that we get an invitation to your future mansion because I just started shopping Amazon using your referral link. With how often I shop, you can definitely upgrade very soon 😂😂😂
Thanks for all the great information! I have been following you a few years now and finally going to become a villager. We will be signing in JUNE! can you please give us Ask Amy's link ...thanks!
RUclips unsubscribed me. I think that’s because I turned off ALL of my notifications. My inbox was loaded and the only way to remove items is one by one. A real pain in the neck. I was getting too many notifications and more subscribers. I don’t watch RUclips that much anymore except a few regulars. Funny thing happened on Saturday. I tripped and fell flat on my face on my way to the hairdresser. Face planted directly on the concrete. Have general aches and pains as a result but the big thing was my massive bloody nose and injured lips. This nice young couple helped me. They’re from Massachusetts and just moved here 3 months ago. Her folks live in The Villages. We’re going to dinner and they are going to tell me all about themselves and their folks. They love the Villages and are planning on buying a home and eventually settling there. They said it’s the most beautiful place. Anyway, I subscribed again to your channel.
Not sure if it is the same or not, but I have many electric tools (mower, trimmer, blower, edger, etc) that use lithium batteries and have stored them in my house and garage over the years without any issue. I dont leave them on the charger much longer than when they charge fully so that is just being smart. Maybe they are smaller, not sure, but I think it is like anything where sometimes you get a bad one, but the majority are fine. Guess you need to analyze your risk tolerance and decide what to do. Electric is good for some things and gas is better for others. Dont worry about what the President says, just do what is best for you.
Someone probably mentioned it already, but Florida just passed legislation criminalizing squatting in the last coupl of weeks, so hopefully that will take care of the problem.

These are all first world problems that I wouldn't trade.
Well said!
Love Bubble Wrap, great tips from PB🌴🌴😎
Thank you.
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks, CK!
You can play softball with gout. But you have to hit all home runs.
Oh… then, no problem! 😄😄
That’s our boy Linda get him a glove
Word scramble. I did a long time ago. And you're welcome.
❤❤❤
In our 55 or over area is that our association owns the roads - thus not public. We do not have manned gates but we do discourage traffic. I imagine your streets are perhaps maintained by the local county?
Your centers such as Spanish Springs need to have public access to make them profitable for the stores. Those stores pay rent and usually a percenage of their income in addition to the landlord. Without enough traffic they would close. Retail is not easy!
How do you discourage traffic? All of our town squares are open to the public as you probably know.
We are small with no town squares. We have ver y low speed limits and only a couple ways in and out so no real traffic. Many speed bumps also. @@JERRYANDLINDA You are unique! Enjoy the show
The Sumter Cty owns the roads so anyone can park in the street day and night
I could just watch bloopers every video, you got me laughing so Thank you for messing up.
Glad you like them! Every time we start a video we hope for no bloopers...
Sorry to hear about your Gout. I use Go Out, from Amazon, capsules 90 for $27. One a day keeps the gout away for me.
Thank you very much!
cute show! Informative, and got the word jumble. running off to yet another rehearsal (i have 4 a week) Hope you plan to attend one or both concerts! We know you like to support the Arts!🥰🎟🎶🎶🎶🎶 Thanks (made sure we were subscribed)
Holy cow! You're busy!
Hi Jerry and Linda. I've been interested in the villages. I currently live in Washington state. I have a question about homeowners insurance. I've been seeing (on RUclips) that homeowners insurance is increasing at an alarming rate in Florida in the near future. Are you concerned about that?
Great show and thanks
David
We are concerned, but so far so good. Knock on wood.
Last November we were in The Villages to check out the lifestyle, we went into all the rec centers. No one asked us for our guest ID. No one asked at the pool.
We heard someone say that if they come to check your id at the pool they can not ask you to get out of the water to check.
That sounds like a problem that needs to be addressed.
I forgot to say, speaking of gators, years ago in the 70s my family was bicycle riding on Hilton Head Island when we saw alligators. I guess you could get used to them but I don't think there are any wild ones here in Raleigh, NC.
Great show today you guys are so funny! See you Thursday
Thank you Mark! We appreciate you watching.
ask your local fire dept about the Li batteries... they get the calls...
We did.
Gout is an almost unbearable pain. My daddy suffered terribly and I have had it once in my big toe. I’m sorry you have it
Thank you Dot. I have never had it before and to tell you the truth it is 80% better right now so I am thankful. I am knocking on wood that it stays that way.
Got it and I did, a long time ago!
❤❤❤
Hello Jerry and Linda I’m Patricia in Village of Woodbury and I’m waiting and so is others. Linda’s recipe with a video of her making meatloaf and cream peas because I never heard of cream peas. We all know how to make mash potatoes.
Never heard of creamed peas either. When I have time, I was gonna look it up unless Linda talks about it one day! 😋🤩
We will try to get on that.

It could have been a resident returning and dropping it off or maybe someone intending on cruising the cart paths.
check if your house insurance covers lithium battery fires
Thanks for another great episode! I especially loved the lithium battery segment, as we’re currently in the market for an enhanced golf cart. I just wanted to reach out to make sure that we get an invitation to your future mansion because I just started shopping Amazon using your referral link. With how often I shop, you can definitely upgrade very soon 😂😂😂
Bless your heart! You are on the preferred list for our housewarming!❤❤❤
I may even earn a spare room 😂
I got the scramble (I think!) and I did it!
You too are so cute sitting so close together! ❤️
❤❤❤
Thanks for all the good info. ❤ 😊
You are so welcome!
Thanks for all the great information! I have been following you a few years now and finally going to become a villager. We will be signing in JUNE! can you please give us Ask Amy's link ...thanks!
Congratulations and welcome! Her link is on our webpage:

Thank you Cynthia! So sorry about your face… but could you send a picture for mailbag Monday? Just kidding, get well soon!
Your hair is gorgeous, Linda!
Thank you so much Annette!!
Great show as always!❤
Glad you enjoy it, Marylouise!
distant parking- that's why you need the hover board
😁😆😅😆😁
I'm with you Linda I think a parking garage for the golf carts would be perfect right by the squares.
We got the Word Scramble!!!
I don’t usually commit but Linda your hair is beautiful today.
Thank you much cj!!
Hmmm… my subscription also disappeared. Well, easily fixed! 🎉
Good idea. Charge garden stuff and e-bikes inside, but only when you are home and can monitor.
