    Really awesome setup!! I love the large size and pick & pack foam so it can evolve or expand with your changing needs. The workbench was such a nice added touch. Can’t wait to try this on my own truck! Thanks!

    Great video. I had this case on my FJ, and I was going to sell it because I don’t want it on the roof of my Titan I got. But, I picked up a rack similar to yours and it gave me inspiration to do the same thing as you. Thanks man!

    I would of drilled the chain hooks into the back, same place you bolted the box to the truck rack. Then you could put as much weight on it as you need.

    1:00 It takes skill to pause between words as you finilaize your thoughts and allow perfect timing for the rooster to crow within said pause.
    mad skill.
    you are one with the farm animals.

    Just got a Gen4 Taco, installing a Tonneau Cover/Bed Rack combo. Similar overland rack as yours.
    And trying to find "saddle" style storage is impossible. This DIY is exactly what I want. So TYSM for the idea!! Great work.

    Added these three years ago to my truck. Remove the handles on the ends to get rid of the whistling. They are simple push pins to tap out.

    super nice, thanks for posting, great info
    How tall is your rack? 16 inches? Are you happy with that height? I am considering the same XO rack system but thinking slightly taller than cab height for a kayak, plywood, etc. I would appreciate your thoughts on that. Thanks

    • @DaleDoesItAll
      @DaleDoesItAll  7 месяцев назад

      Yes a 16, although I’m not sure that height is made any more. Yeah, I got my height for the same, but decided I would use some sort of riser to clear the roof. The last time I loaded a ladder, I used 2x4’s to clear the cab. That seamed to work. I think a kayak in the standard 45degree carrying angle, would probably clear it as well without much issue.

    @pavelsakhno6316 Год назад +1

    hey , what height did you order for your overland rack because it seems like they have 10", 15" 20" and I like yours how it's flush with the roof.

    • @DaleDoesItAll
      @DaleDoesItAll  Год назад +1

      Hi! I purchased the 16”, however I agree that’s no longer a listed option on their website. I wonder if they changed their height descriptions?

    long term review that foam sucks it will all sink down and tear the foam leave all your stuff flopping around

    • @DaleDoesItAll
      @DaleDoesItAll  29 дней назад

      I agree that it’s not ideal. Should be more dense. I have the ability to cnc the foam location for a denser foam, but it suits my needs well.

      Store bottles and glasses in another set of foam and just build a polished wood insert to sit over the egg crate. Little glampy lol but still frickin cool
