Some of that depends on the counter weight on the machine but yes is dangerous I'm just talking cause heavy equipment operator do that stuff all the time
Not sure you know this or not but take off the air filter on your blower and there should be a sun and snowflake icon on a little vent you can slid, summer and winter mode. Winter sends warmer air back in so runs better in the cold
Not trying to be the negitive Nancy here but it’s very dangerous driving that skid loader with the bucket in the air ESPECIALLY when it’s loaded. Other than that you guys did a very Nice job! That back pack blower worked almost too good lol . Nice job team Spencer
Bringing the rear of the loader up will get you more of a reach. Fill in the back side a little more and dig out where the trucks part and you should be fine with the loader you have
As for the ruts being created, maybe extend the concrete apron to the end of the wall. All the salt, that is, falling over time, helps to thaw the ground out. Plus, running the skiddder in the same spots doesn't help either. Otherwise, keep up the great work.
That would create even more of a safety problem as far as the dyamics with the center of gravity. I say leave it alone otherwise it will tip forward for sure. more extension = less salt in that bucket.
Looked like pretty day up there although I’m sure it blue cold. Lol. Glad to see you guys getting caught up a bit and maybe get a little rest before the next round. We’re supposed to Have around 2-4 inches here tomorrow into Saturday. I know I’m past ready for spring. lol. Would rather mow than shovel snow any day. Y’all be safe careful stay warm and dry and keep up the great work. Bruce in Wv.
I have a none criticism question. Would it be beneficial to run the vibrating on the salt spreader as you load the salt? It seems to me that it would fill more balanced and also give you more room for salt. Making you more efficient. If it's a stupid question people disregard lol.
What I don't understand is why you never used your backpack blower in the winter time when you get a light dusting of snow it's the easiest thing to use to blow off the snow omg I just don't believe it everybody in my neighborhood has a gas backpack blower for the winter and you can blow up to 3 in of powder
If you investigated installing a lip that sits over the height of the truck tray and extends closer the spreader could be an advantage for loading salt or you could have the drive in loading area dug lower.
Shawn do you have that backpack blower switched to winter mode on the air intake? Just happen to think of it watching you run that, its easy to forget and also easy to forget to switch it back to summer mode in the spring also!
Work smarter and more professional with the blower, and then forgot the spreader which should work better on this storm since it looks like ice wasn't an issue on most of the sidewalks.
You said how cold it was we was cleaning parking lots it was 22 below zero with wind chill factor 88 below zero fun night a few years ago don't miss it just the money take care and be safe and hydrated and warm did you get your salt in yet we would send a few of are dump trucks to Kansas to get salt from the salt mine down there
everyone always has something negative to say to someone who has been doing this for years and has tons of experience. Disappointing to say the least. Say something nice and leave your own ideas for yourself.
@lisabillannunziata6830 right can't stand people trying to tell others how to run their business I know I don't like it when people try to tell me how to run my business when I have experience
Kansas City Missouri they got some neat trucks the flatbeds and dump trucks there's salt trucks the spreaders it has changed beds on the new little dump trucks
You guys should look into an Avant loader you can get them with turf tires and use it on landscape jobs to so it can help offset the cost stay safe God Bless
For your bucket go further Add a flat metal bar on the front as many inches you need more That will solve it if you have any questions I can Gide you better if you don’t understand what I mean I can explain better
You need to look into getting a JCB Teleskid 2TS-7T or 3TS-8T with 1 of these you could load your trucks in half the time it takes currently i knows it's a big investment but i believe it would pay off for your business. Stay safe and warm.
Shawn letting her run with the bucket up like that is incredibly dangerous
Been watching you for years love your videos but having a full bucket of salt and running the bobcat with the arms up in the air is dangerous
Most definitely
Some of that depends on the counter weight on the machine but yes is dangerous I'm just talking cause heavy equipment operator do that stuff all the time
💯 had one of our mini skids roll for that exact reason
Ya id say. This guy is not the brightest.
Using a blower to move light snow is the best feeling!
Why she operating the skid with the bucket so high?😂
I have run bobcat for many years always carry you bucket full lower then pick it up closer to your truck just a suggestion try it
That looks like a dig safe with all them flags. It’s marking out all the utilities
Don’t forget to call Carl…😂😊

I think that they(Boss) need to incorporate a bucket hanger to fill buckets better
Have to agree with you the bucket full of salt up in the air is asking for a accident
Shawn I know your glad your not having to deal with with bag salt any longer.
Bringing the rear of the loader up will get you more of a reach. Fill in the back side a little more and dig out where the trucks part and you should be fine with the loader you have
Most of the set ups with a back blade that I have seen usually have a plow on the front as well. Are you looking to putting a plow on the front?
Should get some old pool liner put under your aslter,

Have your buddy Noah fabricate an extension for your bucket and bolt it on or weld it. That should give you the additional reach you need.
That would create even more of a safety problem as far as the dyamics with the center of gravity. I say leave it alone otherwise it will tip forward for sure. more extension = less salt in that bucket.
Has everyone been honest at the wood bunker ?
Oh dont forget to call Carl

Bucket Down! Lol

@mkzenthusiasts we have used them many times. There are plenty of older videos. They don't always work. If the snow is wet and heavy they are useless.
@SpencerLawnCare I said they work to up to 3 in of powder that would be dry snow that's what powder is
Good Evening Team Spencer
Hey Team Spencer, is it spring yet?
If you investigated installing a lip that sits over the height of the truck tray and extends closer the spreader could be an advantage for loading salt or you could have the drive in loading area dug lower.
Call Carl Shawn

I hope the snow stops you need a break to get rested up
Good evening hope you guys are keeping warm and be safe
Get a deeper bucket, cheaper. Ps i know you want a new skid steer😅
😊😊😊

You have had more snow this than last. At least grass and leaves you can count. Yoooos do a great job. Stay safe.
You should look into some salt solution for the chevy with the back blade would save even more time
I do that with an older one with paint starting to flake and it is definitely starting to rust that blade fast, don’t recomend unless you have to
VERY clever 2 use a blower 2 clear snow i would not of thought of that it does make it quick
You said how cold it was we was cleaning parking lots it was 22 below zero with wind chill factor 88 below zero fun night a few years ago don't miss it just the money take care and be safe and hydrated and warm did you get your salt in yet we would send a few of are dump trucks to Kansas to get salt from the salt mine down there
White Gold Bro 🎉
Great ide using the blower. !!
Should get the brush attachemt for the grandstand. Might be hard with the cars that park and the car over hangs over on to the sidewalk.
Great video as always you would think after all the videos y'all put out people would not try to tell you what you already know
everyone always has something negative to say to someone who has been doing this for years and has tons of experience. Disappointing to say the least. Say something nice and leave your own ideas for yourself.
@lisabillannunziata6830 right can't stand people trying to tell others how to run their business I know I don't like it when people try to tell me how to run my business when I have experience
You should look into a Bobcat mini Tele handler with a bucket they work phenomenal
Shawn are you putting a boss plow on the front of the gmc as well.
Why do you think he needs to. It is his business, he knows his needs
I hear kids in our town went to school In 9 ° air temperatures. Recent past they would delay school buy 2 hours Until it would warm up a little.
They would send us to school in a blizzard we were tuff kids lol
Awesome video have a great upcoming Friday stay safe out there
Good evening Spencer and keep up with good money and God Bless
Hello 👋
So much easier on the body and faster with the blower. Heck ya
Stihl should rename the leaf blower to...Leaf & Snow blower. 😂😂😂
Be safe ❤
Hey Shawn how much snow did you guys get
Kansas City Missouri they got some neat trucks the flatbeds and dump trucks there's salt trucks the spreaders it has changed beds on the new little dump trucks
I bet you are glad to not be dumping bags of salt in the spreader like the old days your back would be broke
You need solar lights outside the salt shed
For the GMC maybe look into the SnoPower F14 front blade.
You guys should look into an Avant loader you can get them with turf tires and use it on landscape jobs to so it can help offset the cost stay safe God Bless
Try loading with the skid at ground level u can get alot closed.
Hey Spencer your weather is drunk and heading my way in Alabama you need to come take it back home!😮😮😮😮😮
For your bucket go further
Add a flat metal bar on the front as many inches you need more
That will solve it if you have any questions I can Gide you better if you don’t understand what I mean I can explain better
Shawn you can have a ext make from you bucket of just order one that longer to give yall the reach that you need
So you're a gmc guy now huh? 🤔 I've been considering me the 2500 AT4.. I'm starting to see a lot of them
Could always use to plow with
You need to look into getting a JCB Teleskid 2TS-7T or 3TS-8T with 1 of these you could load your trucks in half the time it takes currently i knows it's a big investment but i believe it would pay off for your business. Stay safe and warm.
