  • Create an easy and quick marble using a "negative technique". A negative technique is when a glaze is removed or displaced with different tools in order to modify its appearance. Examples of negative techniques are stippling, strie, sponging off, ragging, and so on. Here I have developed a simple system in just two easy steps and with a minimum supply of brushes and materials. This technique allows you to create a beautiful texture that is great on it own or as a background for marbling or distressing. This is a great finish to use for baseboards, casing, profiles, molding and so on.
