You both are such a fun couple to watch as you work together. Jeff, you are really patient with your sons as you teach them. Your channel is one of my favorites for sure! Thanks for making it easy to learn how to remodel
Yes, This may sound ridiculous but It feels like you two are my new friends. I enjoy watching you interact, the way you communicate as a couple is inspiring!
This is TV quality content, Max makes some amazing looking content. I watch a lot of youtube on my phone, but always wait to watch these on a big screen. HGTV would never show someone using a chop saw to nibble little bits off of a piece of flooring, but that's why this is called "Reality" renovision. I saw that and thought WTF, was great to see Jeff saying the same thing!
Not only is it dirty but it stinks. Old houses smell bad and when you take them apart they smell worse. My house is only 101 which is being remodeled and so I can't imagine what your smells like.
Once again. Your bald head gives me the confidence to go through my day as a Carpeter. I owe my entire livelihood and sustainability as a living breathing human to you and your receded line of hair.
Michelle, you are looking awesome! How have you survived all of this? Love the content. I realize it takes way less time for me to watch than it does to create. I am 8 months into remodeling the main floor of my house myself. We have learned to live with ceilings optional for quite some time. Keep up the awesome work.
If a rat chewed through an old cable with no ground, and the hot and neutral made contact with each other it would cause a short circuit. Hopefully It would trip the breaker, though. That's why new codes call for arc fault breakers. Any little arc will trip the breaker.
bought a house built in 1900.. last two owners must have been real DIY guys...not good ones. lots of messed up electric. Threw the towel in and called an electrician to replace the entire house. there was so much hidden knob and tube wiring we didn't know about. best renovation decision we made
I hate blow in insulation. The bugs, critters, worms and parasites have parties 24 hours. When you take down these things, it will be a itching nightmare. No thanks.
If I knew what I was doing, trying to save a ton of money and knew it wasn't gonna harm anyone, I say to hell with permits. The government has no business knowing what mods I've done to my house. It's my house, my property, they can screw off. I can't stand bureaucratic know it alls and their permit pushing BS.
jeffs sons working together goofing off sound like the two moose from brother bear just razzing each other 😂 😂 😂 I've never had fun and laughed while learning how to renovate and had my family enjoy it as well
Why did you add the new back to the closet? Why not just leave it a deeper closet? It seems that the extra space in the back could be use for storing something like shoes or suitcases.
I am so happy for you that Winter has arrived....you know why, it has forced you to slow down...that is why you are not physically exhausted anymore and maybe why the mental exhaustion has set in, you need to relax your brain also...take your time Geoff.
Oh i kind of wish winter arrived. its actually still summer and still super hot. But this was filmed from Dec to mid spring I believe. Next episode we are all caught up in terms of time line. Thanks for watching as always Dee Dee cheers
“That’s not 6in. You just want to see the world burn, don’t you?” 😂
Nate and Matt are always the dream team of comedy.
Oh my gosh I’m dying 🤣 these kids are great

Jeff: "It's amazing what an inch or two will do..."
Matt: 😶😶🤣

Jeff always makes mudding and taping look so easy. I have to do my entire house and I'm dreading it... 😬
fantastic episode 👍 always enjoyable watching Matt and Nate's antics
Thanks for watching and commenting
"Almost perfect every time". OK, I have to admit I had a loud guffaw from that one!
It doesnt always work to plan, and if it doesnt we will show it! We are only human afterall. Nice to see you again Rob

Aww man! I would rather have the extra space in the closet than to build the other wall. I’m thinking top to bottom shoe storage....

Did you test the walls for asbestos first?

Hey, Jeff. Take it easy on your boys. Why don't you try encouraging them instead of calling them names?
Oh my your son looks just like you. Love watching your videos.
What can i do to cover up thick trowel walls, looks like icing, totally hate it...
No closet can be too deep... hidden cupboards and drawers....
So I can add drywall over dry wall? Instead of skim coating ?
"Hey, let's try not to do that" - such a Dad thing to say
Keep up the great work Jeff!

The drone footage is OP! Needs nerf!
This editing is getting me excited! Omg!
Some intense icicles, roof melt.
@32:28 - "That's what she said."

6 inches son....your Dad said 6 inches and you didn't listen to Dad....no wonder your Dad gets pissed off with you Nate.
Wow, I didn't understand at first y you need all the insulations,,when I saw -19C that is so cold...I cannot live there😊 🙈

“You’re majoring in the minors”
What I need someone to stand around telling me for every diy project I’ve ever done… 🤦🏻♀️
Love the measuring tape drawing with fractions on the wall. Must have been teaching somewhere. When marker is on drywall Jeff is teaching the class.
Lucky.... our 1840 house is all plaster and and lath with planks instead of traditional studs
Nice to see you wear the same model safety glasses I do. "Safety squint engage!" LOL
I'm glad you're safe. I heard you have 2 minutes to escape a house fire. Fire is a vicious thing.
Back of closet could be used to install shelves for shoes! Instead of dry-walling it it all in!
Which is this new eng hardwood product ? Any further details around that pls.?
Let us know if you have any tips/tricks for measuring accurately.
43:00 you squeezed it in yeah, but your supposed to leave a gap, I hope that doesn’t bit you later.
Instead of such high volted sealing, why not create a separate living attic space?
If you’ve never cut through live wire, you’re not living
what transforming plyers are those @ 5:22.
@21:49 can i just say i love the way you two look at each other!

Awesome music at 44:38
Lovely family,
Keep going. Ready to see it finished.
We are close, but not done yet. At this point anything can happen and we are tight on time.
