  • The anticipation for Factorio 2.0 release with all its new content and features is just too much! So I decided to join in on a 2.0 simulation playthrough that long time player ColonelWill and his crew are doing. The goal is a 50k SPM Gigabase by using Quality, massive trains and many types of builds I've not played with before.
We have done something like this many years ago with a simulation let's play of the 0.15 update before that came out. Doing this is a fun throwback to those times and even more exciting as the features for the Factorio expansion are massive!
Not everything can be simulated with mods unfortunately, but one of the biggest new additions, Quality items does have a mod that will be used extensively in the playthrough. Additionally, we're using a mod for Big Mining Drills, the new levels of Transport Belts, new selector combinator and more.

Factorio is a game in which you build and maintain factories.
You will be mining resources, researching technologies, building infrastructure, automating production and fighting enemies. Use your imagination to design your factory, combine simple elements into ingenious structures, apply management skills to keep it working and finally protect it from the creatures who don't really like you.
Join forces with other players in cooperative Multiplayer, create huge factories, collaborate and delegate tasks between you and your friends. Add mods to increase your enjoyment, from small tweak and helper mods to complete game overhauls, Factorio's ground-up Modding support has allowed content creators from around the world to design interesting and innovative features. While the core gameplay is in the form of the freeplay scenario, there are a range of interesting challenges in the form of the Scenario pack, available as free DLC. If you don't find any maps or scenarios you enjoy, you can create your own with the in-game Map Editor, place down entities, enemies, and terrain in any way you like, and even add your own custom script to make for interesting gameplay.

Science is now irrelevant..... new benchmark for megabase size is "how many legendary modules per minute" lol.

In the mods list, the big mining drill should be also, right?

So you could do a normal oar pure prod and speeded build to make say tier 3 prod modules .
Then you just quality recycle those .
That way you’ll get some large scale juicing of resources and you’ll get a portion of more valuable quality components.

42x resource cost for the recycler normal->orange dot is a big hit.

@@KaneYork yes but when a big problem you’ve got is quality too slow/ not consuming enough not qal resources.
Then throwing a tone of excess resources at a seperate base into making base prod 3s with full prod and speed modules and then funnelling them into quality recycles to boost the speed of your quaility resource production, knowing it’s going to be wasteful , but you can’t run at full speed atm any way.
I just think it’s an efficient way of burning resources to add to your quality throughput
