    Thank you so much for uploading this video. I have been following your channel for a pretty long time and you were one of the people who inspired me to pursue something creative when choosing a study. I am currently in my very first year of university (Communication & Multimedia Design, in the Netherlands) at 17 and this year I had to use all of the adobe programs for the first time. I found myself struggling so much with illustrator thinking it would be much like photoshop. watching your video's has helped me with my creative process and finding a grip on my study and learning to love the programs and having them work the way I want them to :).
    If you have any other tips on this kind of level for Illustrator users I would always love to hear them

    And number 8 is another great tip.

    • @KuttyJoe
      @KuttyJoe 3 года назад

      I've always used multiple shapes, and I also knew that you could transform those strokes independently because I've done it accidentally in the past. But I never had the idea to actually use it on purpose. In the past, I've accidentally selected a level, then did a warp/envelope on just that level so that was my clue but it didn't click in my head until watching this video.

    Great video! what was the tool you used to curve the path at one vector point?

    • @KuttyJoe
      @KuttyJoe 3 года назад

      Whenever you create corners in Illustrator, there's a little dot inside each corner. Grab that little dot and drag it inward and the corner will round itself out. You can also click the dot while holding a key modifier to turn the corner into various things like an inverted corner, or change the rounded corner to a straight line going across. Anytime you have a corner in Illustrator, these options are always available. Except, when the shape is too small. In that case, the options won't be there. I don't know if that's a bug or not but it happens.

    On 6:26 dont use preference box because the stroke will look perfect to u.. But when u will share Or give to other the same prblm will. Appear again with them.. Because didn't enabled the same Or if can. Then they might can make their logo by themselves.. So instead select ur project and expand them.. So the prblm will be solved.. Both for u and your client

    As a Photoshop guy, I find Illustrator VERY frustrating because I find I can't do NEAR as much in Illustrator as I could in Photoshop...example ....make an image look like it's coming out of another image, etc. If you know a way you can in Illustrator please please message me and create a video on it. I am very frustrated with Adobe for not offering the same bells and whistles in Illustrator as Photoshop.

    • @ybbgraphicdesign
      @ybbgraphicdesign 3 года назад +2

      Generally speaking, Illustrator is NOT meant for images, applying image effects or editing images etc, Illustrator is meant for VECTOR work i.e. logos, business cards, flyers, banners and more.
      Since you may need to use images as well (for example in a brochure or a banner etc.) there are LIMITED options for image editing and effects within Illustrator.
      But once again these options are DEFFENEFLY limited because it is NOT an image editing program. and generally, you will be editing or applying the desired effects in photoshop and only then transferring the image to Illustrator.
      Hope that helped.
