It took a minute to figure out his center watering tube but I finally got it. Each section fills with water then drain separately, I like it and will use this on my Dollar Tree raised beds. Hard to beat $1.25 each. $45 for 36 trays, I plan to grow strawberries in them. This really solves my watering issue, now based on the size of the center tubing I will have to see how many times a day to water.
yep, waterin is the smartest thing here. I'd also add some drip valve from bucket it keep it consistent and controlled

amazing idea thank you, but I got a couple of questions thou, the small tube in 5:02 that gets out from the side, is it connected to the center tube from the bottom? or is it for drainage? its not clear..
It is only drainage. It's not connected to the center tube.

So how far are the 2 small white pipes from each other at a guess. They don't touch because they are designed to over flow? Explain the sense re how watering is to work ,please...You put so much effort into it , thanks for that.

Please could you be a bit more clear on the irrigation and how the water gets through the entire tower. I especially liked your mixture of coco coir, fertilizer etc I'm definitely going to take a note of that combination as a growing medium.

I think it would be better to use a short piece of pipe with holes near the top and another piece of pipe without holes that is just wrapped in the weed barrier fabric (capillary material). The water wets the top and the fabric/gravity will carry it down the tower. With holes in the lower pipe you will have more water at the bottom due to the pressure (about 4psi with 10ft head. A good quality capillary matting will hold 7.5L per m2.

when the one was talking about "too hot soil" i saw it was also about compost so well i will probably go with dark grey

It looks great!! Is all that plastic food safe? Not all plastic is. Since all the hub bub about plastics and such, I have been trying to stick to natural things. You could use bamboo to make a natural irrigation, and we always used jute when I was a kid to make small container gardens.

I agree with you. You can build a towel out of untreated wood, or heat treated (HT stamp) pallet wood. just have to replace every now n then if the wood rots out. Metal (galvanize, stonwes or bricks or ok too ). I have those for raised beds.

Üdv, gratula a konstrukcióhoz. Kérdésem az lenne, hogy készült-e esetleg olyan kép ahol látjuk teremni a tornyot ? Hogyan fejlődik benne a növény ? Van-e tapasztalat , hogy máshol ahol nincs védett terasz, hogy telel át a növény ? Gondolom ismeretségi körben készült több ilyen torony :) Előre is köszönöm.
Csináltam egy kis videót a termésről: ruclips.net/video/ld9LnnRPPyc/видео.html Most már nem eper van benne, hanem zöldségek és fűszernövények, nagyon bevált a torony elrendezés. Nem készült több az ismertségi körbe, nagyon drága a 315-ös cső, és az a tapasztalat, hogy kell ez a méret a föld miatt.

Jó napot érdeklödnék ,hogy ez a talajkeverék mennyire vált be...Azt olvastam több helyen hogy a marhatrágya sajnos nagyon erős és kiégeti a növényeket..Ha jól láttam egy rész föld és egy rész marhatrágya a többi meg kókuszrost..A választ elöre is köszönöm.
Eddig szép termés volt. Nem tapasztaltam kiégést. Ez nem igazi marha trágya, hanem karám trágya ez, nem olyan tömény.
The center watering pipe is a little confusing for me. I am not sure why it would not work to just have one straight pipe with holes drilled in it, and the bottom blocked off. I guess with all your small pipes inside, it makes it so the water is more evenly given out rather than more pressure given to the bottom of the pipe? Sort of like baffles?
Yes, that is. The distribution of water is more even.

Keveset, azzal csak a középső csövet tekerem körbe, hogy egyenletesebben adja at a nedvességet, meg a gyökérzet ne tömje el a lyukat.

Mik a tapasztalatok a szamócával ? Másik kérdés:Az alsó edény ( 4:03) nyílásainak ragasztása mennyire tart? Tapasztalatom szerint nem igazán akar tapadni semmi sem, a koszon kívül ezekhez a virágtartókhoz.
Szép volt a termése, de az öntözésre figyelni kell könnyen kiszárad. Idén szeretném automatizálni az öntözést. Eddig nem eresz a ragasztás.

kb. 20cm darabokra vágtam a fehér cső 1cm lett rövidebb.

Az első részben egy 20cm átmérőjű tornyot készítek. Lehet, hogy a 32 cső helyett érdemes még vékonyabbat választani. Sajnos nagyon kevés föld fér a 20-as toronyba.

Nagyon tetszik és szeretném megépíteni. Az a gondom hogy a belső PVC cső 40mm és a kupak 32 mm. Ez így jó?
Igen mert a 40mm az a cső külső átmérője a 32mm meg a kupak belső átmérője, de nézd meg a boltban.
Sok sikert az építéshez, ha elkészült számolj be róla, meg a tapasztalataidról is.
@@2lefthands Megnéztem mielőtt írtam. Az első résznél 32mm cső volt és 32 mm kupak. Itt mér 40mm cső. Szennyvíz csövek esetén a külső méretet használják. A lényeges az hogy itt már 40mm-es csőre váltottál, akkor ehhez valót választok majd. Köszönöm a válaszodat! Üdv!
Mert változott a nagy cső átmérője és elfér benne a vastagabb cső, de az is lehet, hogy elfelejtettem átírni a kupak méretét :) régen készült. Vásárlás előtt ellenőrizd.
Az ontozo lyukak hol vannak a novenyekhez képest?
A cső alja a második tő felett van picivel, a szakaszokat egy vagy két tő távolságra érdemes csinálni. A víz úgy is lefele folyik. Meg így is az alsó fele nedvesebb mint a felső.
So... Maybe I'm being overly critical. Why did you add the irrigation tube? It feels like it's overly complicated since you could simply spray the whole tower down with a hose or if it rained it would still naturally saturate the entire tower.
I would like irrigation :).
This thing is destined for clogging in the future guarantee. I prefer the pump to pump up and gravity down water droplet. Will never clog!

Don't you just end up with a nutrient dense bottom layer? It's nice but as you water and the nutrients are getting washed down to the bottom. You may find it beneficial to create barriers at each layer to maintain nutrients instead of a single column of soil.

This was a poorly constructed video. You did not adequately explain anything you did. Instead you spent inordinate amounts of time showing long processes that could have been explained more succinctly

Szia! Az előző verziós epertornyot én is építettem 3 darabot, de elrontottam őket. Én 110-es pvc csövet használtam amibe alig fért el a középső cső a behajtogatások miatt, így a szövet borítást letúrta magáról a cső amikor benyomtam. Ráadásul alig jutott egy kevés föld a 110-es csőbe, így meg nagyon hamar kiszáradtak a palánták. El is pusztult mind amit a csövekbe raktam, akárhogy igyekeztem locsolni. A 200-as csövet fogom én is legközelebb próbálni. és ezt a vízlépcsős adagolást mert ez jobb mint a szövet betekeréses cső.
Ha jót akarsz akkor 315-ös csővel csinálod meg, abban van elég hely a földnek.

coconut coir, you must hydrate it first before using it. It comes compressed and dry, you hydrate. It keeps the soil from getting compacted and hard.
