good info as most people YT reviewing the visp have probably only done a few hundred miles in it of actual rain (as i've never heard of it wetting out). FT makes sense in the states but in the UK it's only sold by amazon & usually around the 35 quid mark so after my 2nd one ripped i went for a REI goretx jacket that's held up pretty damn well but once it goes i'll definitely replace with a shakeDry. thanks again
Was the ultra-lite 2 two-ply or just one Have you tried the frog toggs xtreme lite jacket? It is 2 ply and should be harder to rip. It's different from the ultra-lite which is just one layer (as far as I can tell).

Good info. It’s better to go with the frog togs since the visp wets out after a year. Plus the expense.
