Okay, first, I love this show. I love the actors, characters, and MALEX being a couple. Second, Malex (Michael and Alex) being a couple is not a LGBT AGENDA! Being Gay or Bi or Trans or Queer or Alien is not harming a damn soul and these characters exploring a same-sex love together is not for an agenda. People saying they hate the reboot for changing up Alex and Michael and it is for a "gay agenda." An agenda would be showing people that when they see something that they need to ACT on the action of it, and there are MANY heterosexual people/couple's who do not act on every little thing they see. When you see murder scenes on TV I guess you feel like it'll be cool to murder someone? No. There are people who do crime, but they didn't get an idea over entertainment. So if there are same gender scenes or same gender love that is in the world it is not an agenda. It is soulful when two souls unite. It's only wrong if there are boundaries that's been broken. I have a friend who's written books that have LGBT+ characters in them (happy endings, too) that doesn't do it for an agenda, but to create sweet and fictional, loving relationships. And she believes in God. Not all LGBT relationships that are thrown into entertainment is part of an agenda. The media tells people there is an agenda. People can still think for themselves either way, and there are people who are lesbian, gay, and whatever else their SOULS identify with. Roswell, New Mexico reboot changed things up for the better. Roswell OG was an awesome show. I almost passed up the reboot, but I gave the pilot a try and now hooked!! Alex OG-the character was okay (Colin Hanks was great) but it sucked on what happened to him in OG, and then everything kind of fizzled out. Also Alex didn't seem to fit with Isabel. But with the reboot Alex, it is freaking fantastic he is into Michael and Michael's character feels the same way about him Hell yeah. They have awesome chemistry, and the actors really play their roles. For me on watching the reboot I cringed and hoped I wouldn't see a "carbon copy" of the original, but at the end I was amazed and excited for more. So many remakes and reboots do carbon copies, and MALEX just changed the universe for the better. I like all the characters and actors/actresses portraying them. I wouldn't have liked seeing Michael and Maria for the reboot. Original Roswell and books needed to keep things like they are. Malex isn't an agenda, it's a new way of life.
I agree with you, there isn't always an agenda or has to be one. I think it's just the writers and directors wanting a sweet couple and people are totally blowing it out of proportion, this reboot is different from OG and for the better it's a whole different show but with same character names.

I haven't seen the old Roswell and I don't feel the need to. As a gay person myself I like seeing LGBTQ+ characters on TV as I recognise some of myself in them. And what's more important, young LGBTQ+ people watches the show as well and they need to know they are not alone. The "gay agenda" thing is crazy. If anything most shows on TV are giving us the "straight agenda". Lots of shows have 10+ recurring straight characters and maybe 1 LGBTQ+ person. When I grew up they used to tell us about 10% of people were gay. As society has become more open and people have grown this is simply not the case anymore. There has probably always been the same amount of LGBTQ+ people in the world but the difference is now we don't have to hide anymore. Not from others nor from ourselves. A while ago they did a big survey in the UK about sexuality in adults under 25 years of age. 40% identified as neither completely straight nor completely gay. Add the gay people to that and the result is at least half of us don't consider ourselves completely straight. So if we want to mirror reality in TV and books every other character would indeed be part of the LGBTQ+ community in some way or another. The day the reverse thing happens and there's one straight person for every 10 LGBTQ+ you're welcome to talk to me about the "gay agenda".

I was crying too, during those wonderful moments! Sooo happy to see this love represented on screen that transcends "social norms". I'm happy to see Michael go fully into something with open arms, and to seemingly, genuinely feel a real "love" essentially. This is what we all want. We all want to be free! Thank you for giving us permission on the big screen! (I'm primarily "straight" but also Bi, having had many different kinds of loving experiences with different people) Sooo happy. It's truly really inspiring. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love the chemistry between these two 💜🙏🏽 And they are both such fantastic actors. So impressed. Truly.
Strange hearing Michael without his western accent. Even stranger that the characters in that show grew up together in the same town and only Guerin developed an accent. Lol

To the writers.... please watch the story arc between Aaron and Robert on the British series Emmerdale. Handled well and this needs to be worked into the Alex and Michael story arc ! This went off course in Season 1 episode 13.
From the get go Michael was supposed to be with Maria Deluca, but i think this Alex is a better match - more chemistry. 😍🤤 But maybe it turns out they will stick to the original. 🥺😭
This series was written so shoddy you would think they intended to be canceled in the middle of the first season. The best part is the story line between Alex and Michael and they are not a big enough part of the show to carry the entire show.

Why don’t you stop trying to be the appointed angel of wrath and worry about demonstrating the love for humanity that you profess? The ego and pride you just demonstrated is far more abhorrent to me than anyone’s love, but that's just my humble opinion.
