- While most everyone has an electric grinding wheel in their shop, it is not always the best way to sharpen your garden tools. A Farmers File is a quick and easy way to sharpen without having to worry about getting the metal too hot and losing its temper.

Thanks for the video on how to use the file. My dad always did the sharpening for me. Since his death, I've used it without sharpening it for about 5 months. Needless to say my hoe is dull as dull gets. I should have got him to show me how to use the file, but I figured that he might turn the job over to me! 😆
