  • Checking your Tension is simplified in this video with Sheridan Carter. One of the first things to do when changing out the threads on your longarm is to check and see how the top thread and bobbin thread relate to each other. This is known as a tug of war between the two threads. Join Sheridan in the studio at Sheridan Kay Quilting APQS/Hendersonville in Hendersonville, NC were she is a representative for APQS.

This is an excellent tension lesson. Thank you so much. I really like the illustrations with your fingers. That visual is helpful to me. I also really like the pull test and that makes a lot of sense. This is one of the best tension lessons I’ve seen. I’m determined to conquer this issue! 😊

Excellent visual using your hands to explain upper and lower tension. I’ve saved this video for future reference.

Do you have a video showing the various ways to thread the Millie machine? I accidentally unthreaded my machine without tying the threads together and can't seem to get it threaded without the result being thread breakage! Help!! And thanks for the information in this video!

I have a video showing threading an APQS Freedom which would be exactly like your Millie is threaded. Hope you find it helpful.

I just found this video. I have a second hand handiquilter sit down. I never knew about the magnetic bobbins! Is that true for any brand? Wow game changer.

I have a lucey, I thought my bobbin has to go counter clockwise.
