great job man, quick tip . use less cement and allow it to dry a little before you apply the patch, that will ensure the patch bonds better and it doesnt leak
Great video brother appreciate all the info got to save me some money and start doing this myself. out here in Paso Robles California it’s $50 to repair a tire with a nail✌🏼.
TRUCKING TIPS DIY Brother where did u buy the (air chuck tool thing) the one you put air into the tire without the stem/restrictor. You know what I’m talking about? I see all the tire guy have it. They be putting the air into the tire fast!!! And then they put the stem in. I hope I make sense😬😁
A tip on the lug nuts put oil on the bolt before taking them off and putting them back on. It helps torque them down properly and you prevent over tightening.
Putting oil on the threads changes the torque specs. That’s why anything critical will give you a dry torque and a wet torque. I’ve never put lube on any threads that didn’t call for it.
@@otrookie I don’t trust big corporations that abuse workers and support slave labor. I buy local whenever possible. I got a set of tire irons and all the other stuff you need for $200 at the local farm supply store. I’ll go back to get a 20t jack and stands so I can do inner tires and rotations.
some tires will inflate normal like this one did, other will need the tool (cheetah) or use starting fluid and lighter to inflate it, check out the vide i made using starting fluid

Can you put a patch on steer
@@manuelzarate4629
It’s probably illegal. You don’t want to risk getting a blowout on your steer and possibly cause an accident. Too much liability.

That’s so easy I can do it. Where do you buy the tire bars and patches? Thanks for the helpful video
Harbor freight, northern tool, amazon etc

thank you sir,, its the 2867
TRUCKING TIPS DIY thanks 🙏
Next time put air in your tire before you put the valve stem in, it's much quicker. Invest in a torque wrench
What about the way to inflate the tire 🤔
I have a hose connected to the air thanks but you can use one of these

Good vid. Have you ever had a patch leak?
yes, sometimes the patches dont hold very well, but I just put a new one and thats it, that happens at the tire shops too, thanks for watching sir!!
Last question: How did you get the tire to catch the rim, completely flat? Ive seen those tire guys use that that air explode thngy for that?
some tires will inflate normal like this one did, other will need the tool (cheetah) or use starting fluid and lighter to inflate it, check out the vide i made using starting fluid
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY LOL I'm a pyro, so I'd like that! TY.

Im not sure how much they charge, i just do it for myself
Can you put a patch on steer
Its not recommended to patch steer tires, I heard shops wont patch them. I also seen people patch them and had no problem. Thank for watching !!
