Meet Shugaa Nashwan, the blind but dangerous Yemeni judoka

  • Shugaa Nashwan was 12 when he became a judoka. And the visually-impaired athlete has since fought his way through the ranks and into Germany’s judo Bundesliga. Shugaa is a member of the national team and trains several times a week. He’s determined to compete at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.
