Excellent job my fellow welder. Love the way you made welding on that thin gauge look so easy. If people only knew how difficult that is and the welds are awesome. Very professional.
Wow, really appreciate the compliment but I am just a DIYer or Hobby welder, so I try to shy away from calling myself an actual welder. Really appreciate it though!
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects Trust me. You are definitely a good welder. We could have used you on my last three jobs given how awful some of my supposedly experienced coworkers were welding lol. Great video.
I watched this mainly to see your work with the FC90. Have you done any welding of 1/4" plate with it? Great looking repair job though - espcially after the paint.
A little grinding and paint will make me the welder I ain’t. I actually have never welded anything thicker than 1/8” with it that I can think of, and if I had, it was just to run beads. Thanks for your kind words! Rare on the Internet!
You know, I don’t recall exactly if I used the chart or not but I usually try to and then I’ll adjust a little bit if I think it needs it. But I think the charts pretty accurate.

Really a nice repair Derek!
Thank you for your continued support Sam!
That's good repair. That 1/4" rod is good enough. You add strength over weight to front of the guard. My opinion. Nice job.👍
Zero Nine James Thanks. I think overall it turned out pretty nice.
Great Weld job. I am repairing my deck the same way. Thanks for the video.
Thanks man, really appreciate it!
Nice repair.
adding ..👍125
Stay well, Joe Z
Sweet! That worked great! I love the “arg!” In the middle, when you had to grind something down that you’d just welded... lol... but nicely done! 👍
It took a lot of work but it was fun!
Well done bro 👍👍👍👍looks great!!
Thanks I really appreciate your view!
well done. better. then. new
Probably not THAT good but really appreciate compliment. Thanks for watching.
Great job 👍
Thanks I think it turned out pretty good.
Grear job man, you may want to replace the bushings in the front wheels, or put bearings in.
I did and then sold it for a pretty good profit!
You might want to push your weld ? 35 years of experience with case/new holland great job!
It was flux core so pushing it would have caused porosity, but thanks for watching and your kind words! I appreciate it!
Slag you drag. Old school vs new

Man, great repair, very clean work! You found the settings listed on the chart were ideal for the 14 ga?
