Is this better than ThinkPad T480 in the same price range? Thinkpad is i7 but it's older.

Thank you, glad the video was helpful, and by the way, I would not recommend this for Lightroom, it will run, but Adobe recommends a computer with 16GB RAM.

@@TechGuyCharliesir, where do you find the i3 version, if possible I want to buy it. The version I'm ordering now is Ryzen 3 7320u which most people say is average or lower than average.
Or is the performance same between this variant (ryzen) and your variant (intel)
The i3 is available on Amazon, and the i3 N305 should be ahead of the Ryzen 3 7320u but not much, as both are entry-level CPUs.
Also, are you sure you are getting the Vivobook OLED? As far as I am aware, Asus doesn't sell the OLED variant with Ryzen 3 7320u, seen one with Ryzen 5, could you tell me the model?

Can i get your thoughts on something. I'm struggling on choosing between this laptop and another one that has 16GB of Ram (DDR 4 single channel), ryzen 7 5700u processor, 512GB ssd but has a 14 inch 720p lcd screen. I like the asus one because of its display and bulid quality but i want a laptop that can play GTA 5. Which one should I choose.
This particular Asus Vivobook isnt a gaming laptop by any means, so avoid it if you want to play GTA 5, Asus also has laptops with OLED displays that have a better CPU and expandable RAM, but those are a bit more expensive.
In the longer run which will be more durable an ips or an oled ,iam really confused between this or at a higher variant loke the hp aero 13,mainly for the 13.3 inch display ips and 400 nits
Longevity depends on what type of content you consume on your laptop!
Like, if you watch a lot of movies and TV shows then OLED is great, if you play a lot of games, work on documents or do anything that has a lot of static elements on the screen for a long time, then LCD will be the logical choice.
However, OLED will have significantly better image quality than ANY LCD display, be it an IPS or TN panel.

Heyy, long time man, happy to see you. Btw AutoCAD system requirements page says 16GB RAM is recommend, so this is definitely not suited for 3D work, AutoCAD will run, but can't say how the performance will be like.
With intel graphics, it is not recommended..u should go for lower budget gaming laptop..asus vivobook oled rtx 3050

It should be able to run older games like Max Payne 3 at low-medium settings, definitely not meant to play games though.

Sorry for late reply, so the F7 key on your Vivobook doesn't have the back light icon? I guess it doesn't have it then, I'm sure it's a different model.

11:45 this is nonsense 8gb is not enough. Only a handful of apps are enough for it to start going into pagefile.
Brother..This laptop have two varients.This intel i3 varient and AMD Ryzen 3 7320U.. In your opinion Which is better?
I have not tested the Ryzen 3 7320U, so I cant say how it performs, but my suggestion would be to get whichever variant has upgradable RAM.

How do you turn the backlit keyboard on? Thanks
By tapping the F7 key, but the backlight should turn on by itself when you press any key or touch the mousepad, unless its turned off.
