- Balewadi is a residential suburban town of Pune, located in the city's Western Metropolitan Corridor. It is famous for the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex which had hosted both the National Games in 1994 and the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.
Baner is a suburb in the Western Metropolitan Corridor of Pune, India. Baner is well known for "Varkari" Parampara and Bhakti Aradhana from many years. Baner is bordered by Pashan in south, Balewadi to the west, Aundh to the north and Pune University to the east. Baner has a large variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Some of the most notable ones are Malaka Spice, The K Factory, Minus 18 Degrees, Pimp My Wok and Flying Duck. Baner does not have a full-scale shopping mall or multiplex theatre. Instead one can find individual stores such as Fab India, Westside, Pantaloons etc. It is a popular hang-out spot in the city due to the variety of cuisines on offer and the development of Balewadi High Street. Impressive video. Unlike Mumbai, there do not appear to be any slums in Pune. Mumbai cannot be labeled a world-class city if many areas are covered with slums. Re-developing Dharavi should be the first step, and government should set up an independent commission to re-develop this valuable property in Mumbai and relocate squatters to decent accommodation.
This is West of Pune. Hardly any Slums on this Route till Kiwale.

Pune also has slums . Population density of pune is much lesser in comparison. That’s why it seems like less. And yes , Mumbai is world class . There is basic infra everywhere in Mumbai . Even Dharavi people might be getting corporation water. Same can not be said for many societies in Pune. Specially during summers . So don’t jump to conclusion. Pune might be great . However,Mumbai definitely is miles ahead.

Pune roads are no way close to HYD, Hyderabad is way ahead of pune. ohh btw, all the apartments you see get water from the water tankers and they are run by local politicians.

Beautiful video. But it is just one large glass clad office building with mostly residential area. Pune needs 150 million sq ft of Grade A commerciao office spaces to be attractive more companies. Right now Pune has 70 million sq ft of office space. Hope more real estate firms buil more such beautiful buildings. Amar builders, Malpani are doing their bit along with Panchshil.
That’s true. Pune lacks Grade A office supply. Though Kharadi is seeing traction now, other established localities like Wakad, Tathawade should have more Grade A supply to attract major companies.
