Yep, you're definitely the first one to showcase these. And that's amazing, cuz frankly, I've never seen over half of these Game Overs lol (only ever witnessed Spyro 1 and Spyro 3). Funny how silent they all ended up being, except Season of Flame's little jingle (that one gave me a little chuckle xD)
Y'know, it's nice to know that Spyro usually takes his game overs in stride. There's only three occasions that he was actually bummed by getting a game over.
0:46 unintentional, but it’s actually a bit unsettling how it cuts away just as the mook is about to smash the already flattened Spyro one last time with his mallet.
Some things to note: The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night does have a Game Over screen in the GBA version, but it goes unused. Dawn of the Dragon has one in the Java Mobile version. All Skylanders 3DS titles, excluding Superchargers, have Game Over screens.
0:00 Spyro the Dragon 0:37 Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage 1:12 Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon 1:45 Spyro: Season of Ice 2:11 Spyro: Season of Flame 2:35 Spyro 4: Enter the Dragonfly 3:41 Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy 4:06 Spyro Reignited Trilogy
This is gonna sound weird but when I was very young, I swear I saw spyro fly around during one of the game over screens. He didn't sit and look down like he normally does. It was from the first game and I heard music in the background. The music was clearly from spyro but I don't remember hearing it before. I was very tired during this time and playing from my bed, so it was probably from a dream. I could have also been confusing it with the flying animation when entering a portal. But yeah it felt very real. I just think it's cool to have a memory of that happening

Yeah it’s kinda weird that there weren’t any jingles in these screens. I wonder what they would have sounded like.

The season of flame one is the funniest 😂
That’s so wonderful 💙

2:46 imagine having 2 loading screens for a game over

The reignited one breaks my heart honestly 😢
At least Spyro looks upset in that one. In just about all the others, he looks rather indifferent for having just failed miserably.
Most of these look more like continue screens, rather than game over screens.
Spyro looked inconvenienced in most of those like ok I'll try again later
Me as a kid:
NOT THE GAME OVER!!!!
(To be fair I had Spyro jump in that lava on purpose cuz I thought it was funny 😆)
"bring it on"
