You are right about that, also the joyment and self satisfaction that comes with it. One time I had to take my car into do a state inspection at the dealership and I noticed when i got home there was boot skid marks on the drivers side skirt, just an example right there smh.
Good vid and thanks for sharing. I know GM has been changing specs every year or 2. At this point for the LT1 and LT4 engines they are recommending Mobil 1 0W40 Supercar oil. It's pricey at about $10./quart. I doubt dealers are using that in their $125. oil changes for 10 quarts and a filter. There wouldn't be any profit in it for them. Always best to do any car work you can yourself not always easy especially without a lift as we get older but well worth the try. RUclips vids are a big help, when you do it yourself, you will care more than anybody else and know the parts you paid for are the ones being installed.
When I was in college took my Honda Accord to Walmart for an oil change and they tightened the oil pan screw so tight it stripped it and it would leak. Then tried to say it was like that when I brought it in. Im like no it didnt leak till it left here!!! Ever since then I do ALL my own oil changes on ALL my cars.
GM specs 0w40 Dexos2 for all 6.2 engines, Camaro or Corvette...
If you read the manual it says you can use 5 30 fore normal street use.
Been updates and that’s why the motors be blowing up
That crunch on the safety jack... this made me cry.
Save money and save your car from damage done at the dealership. They don't touch mine unless it's something I can't do myself.

Agreed, I don't want anyone touching my car unless absolutely necessary.
I don't know how much it actually saves but i like knowing exactly what is in my car. Alot of mechanics can't be trusted
