Crazy to me that payouts in karting are as low as they are. In the early 2000s it was on a regular basis that tracks in my area were paying $500-1000 several times a year to the point that if you wanted to drive a couple hours you were regularly racing for decent payouts. And things are wayyyy more expensive than 25 years ago.
Typically the majority of the events have races that pay $1000 many have $3000 for a class, a few upcoming $5000 -10000, but I do agree
My local track cost $20 to get in the gate, $20 per class to race and every other race is either a payout or trophy race. I think most payout races are less than $500 depending on how many karts were in that class. If it wasn’t fun I probably wouldn’t do it and I’d just sell all my stuff.
Yeah you'll never make money or even get it back but back in the day you could pay for a lot of your tires with winnings lol
