    I say it with confidence, there are no homeless people, and most of those you see are from the Yemeni or Syrian community, and the unemployed Saudi gets a monthly salary, and the university student gets his monthly salary, and all Saudis get soft loans to own them. Their own house, and whoever cannot, the state gives a private house

      So is it a bad thing If the country makes a lot of money and then shares it with the citizens? If you would have to work 40-80h a week how would you use that time? Would you spend more time with your kids and made sure they are well educated and know how to run their own business? Is that a bad thing?

    Most of the Arabic comments are saying that you're providing wrong information and I totally agree with that.
    1) Some of the scenes you showed at the beginning (the teaser) were not even filmed in Saudi, but rather Afganistan (I guess)
    2) You said there are 4 parts of the city, one of them is royal, that's why it's rich. That's not true, these rich houses belong to normal rich Saudi families not the royals. Royal family Hauses are behind the scene and I really doubt you've seen them, because we as Saudis don't know where are they exactly!
    3) most of the video you're filming the poorest district in Riyadh, claiming it's Riyadh, it's just like me coming to Warsaw and filming Praga and claiming this is Warsaw/Poland! Człowieku, o co chodzi?
    4) This poor district is not for foreign workers as you said, yes the majority might be the case, but it's for the low income workers.
    40% of the Saudi population are immigrants, a lot of them are middle class and rich. So not all of them immigrants are poor.
    Sprawdź wszystko w następnym razem, i zapytaj nas zamiast obcokrajowców. Bo to wyglądało jakbym był w Polsce i zapytał Ukraińców co myślą o Polsce!

    I just returned from an incredible vacation in Saudi Arabia. I loved every minute! The culture, the people were so friendly. :-). My favorite was Alula in the northwest. I had a car rental from Jeddah and drove up the Red Sea coast to Yanbu and Umluj, before heading inland to Al Ula. An amazing place! Second only to Petra with the ancient Nabatean civilization. I can't wait to go back and urge everyone to visit Saudi Arabia. You will love it. :-)

Culture and people can be amazing and the best part of traveling. :). Many places in the world do not match western norms, but are still beautiful countries with beautiful people. Cheers. :))

    As someone who lived in the US for a decade now, I can’t believe you are comparing actual houses with LA homeless tents! The comparison is just funny!!! Coming to my country with these presumptions going to the “chop chop” square says a lot about what you already was thinking about this country, yes we have poor people and we have middle class and we have rich people as any country in the world, let me know if you found in these fancy areas any homeless people as you can see in LA fancy streets, I know for you this might be a shock, but no one trying to copy the us, why we would we copy a country were you have to work 3 different jobs to support a family, were most of your income will go in taxes mainly used for the military to protect countries overseas? Where a trip to ER in an emergency will cost you half year salary? What is so glamorous to copy? We want to make things better and there is big difference my friend!

    It is strange that you did not find homeless people on the streets, drug addicts or thieves like New York and the rest of the American cities.
    Generally, the central park is found in many cities in the world, not just New York, the most famous of which is Hyde Park in London

    Funny an American speaking about Riyadh in this way! As a Saudi person who lived in both countries and know the living situations of Saudis and Americans. I can say with confidence that NYC has more issues than Riyadh not only the poor, but also crime rate, drugs, safety issues, thefts, and not feeling safe when walking in the streets you can get shot, attacked, assaulted by only walking! The image you showed from Saudi Arabia is not “the poor” areas but more so illegal workers or migrants. These places are by law and city planning are either evacuated or in the process! Stop trying to fool the world by your biased views!

As for the Saudis, they live far from these neighborhoods. Welcome to Saudi Arabia, but I wanted to say something specific and correct what I said. You said strict laws against Saudi women and I don't agree with you. Not everything you hear is true or true. You have to be sure of everything you hear and see through the media. I am a Saudi girl, and we here in Saudi Arabia enjoy great privacy and we get respect and appreciation from the people and our country, just as our Islamic religion gave us all our rights, as you know in Western countries, anyone can insult a woman and no one will do anything to him, this is freedom in Saudi Arabia and it is forbidden to insult girl or touch her. This is a crime in Saudi Arabia. Girls can go out at 11 or 12 at night. Nobody can attack them. There are no people in Saudi Arabia who attack them. In Saudi Arabia, when a woman goes out on her own, the Saudi people are here to protect her. Saudi women are fully respected and appreciated. I am really, really, proud of being out of all other nationalities, religions, and countries. A Saudi Muslim girl was born. You cannot imagine how proud I feel just to be a Saudi girl.🇸🇦 الحمدلله 🙏

As long as you have a high sense of human rights, seek human rights in your own country, not in another country. We Saudis are proud of our religion and our country, and our laws will not change until people like you love them. We will remain proud of our country. And it will remain the same forever

True, on the human rights level, Saudi needs A LOT to improve, they are still a big golden prison unfortunately, but when you speak about the infrastructure, the improvements in tourism, you can't deny it, it's there and we can feel it and see it. Whoa! He was pretty damn positive about the country. For a country with a GDP per capita similar to Spain, I thought he was nothing but kind about Saudi Arabia. What I saw was a world apart from anywhere I've been in Europe, and not in a good way. Europe looks like an uber-nice, clean, high-tech utopia compared to this. Cool theme park though, so props for that.
    Cheers Bart for the informative and more than fair description of what you saw. I'll definitely be sticking with Spain though, doesn't seem like I'll be missing out on anything.

      Riyadh is not the city to visit in Saudi Arabia, it is the capitol and more of a bussiness area with lots of shopping malls.
      I would advise you to visit Jeddah and Al Ula.. there are some beautiful historic sites there.. look for videos on those places. And the desert is beautiful

    We never like to be like a country whose internal security is loose and its greatest cities live in rubbish and homeless people everywhere and civilians are thrown on the sidewalks in every direction. It is America and it is the dirty American dream. If Saudi Arabia wants to emulate someone, it is China. A developed country and maintaining its internal security

    I feel like alot of people in the comments didn't actually watch the video...? He didn't say anything bad. I think he just dosnt have a good enough vocabulary to express what he was trying to say. English isnt his first language.. u can hear he has an accent. So I think he probably just didn't use the right wording. I dont think he was trying to be insulting. He actually says alot of nice things

    How many Ubers were Mercedes? I believe I counted at least 3 but it could have been more since I didn't immediately recognize some of the cars you were in. In the theme park the "trippy" section I think was the US, it looked like they called it Area 15 in reference to Area 51. I could be completely off though. Is slavery still considered a normal thing there? It's a common thing in Dubai and they seem to envy all things Dubai. But hey, this is the best travel video I've ever seen done on the country and I'm glad they are accepting of tourists again. The whole Middle East can be so unpredictable though. Well, some places are openly hostile to anything western but this proves all middle eastern countries aren't alike.

    • @TS-zp7pe
      @TS-zp7pe Год назад +1

      You’re confused. Arabs have no issue with anything Western. It’s the people in places like Afghanistan and Pakistan are a bit offish with anything Western. Unfortunately your media lies to justify its wars in the region by putting us all in one category.

    • @TS-zp7pe
      @TS-zp7pe Год назад +1

      Also we don’t have anything called slavery. We have poor migrants who leave their slums to earn a living for their family’s back home. Slavery is something the West invented and exported to the world.
