  • The Trilene Knot is a knot you may not hear of often on a trout stream but it certainly has it's time and place. Also known as the 2-turn Clinch Knot, The Trilene is especially useful when you're working with supple materials that have a delicate breaking strength.
By running the tag end through the hook eye 2 times (if the desired tippet size will fit through the eye of the hook), and completing the rest of the knot using steps similar to a clinch knot, you can rest assured that you will have a slight edge against those hard pulling fish.
