Thanks for the repair tour Warren, Duke and Josie. In Florida when I was horse farming, we just baled grass fields for bedding in the stalls, sometimes we would get straw after folks combined their rye or oats. Humidity made it tough for bailing horse quality hay without it moulding inside the bales. It would look pretty, but two weeks later the bales would start carrying heat and get blue/green molds growing, bad for horses, okay for cows and other ruminants. Baled timothy/orchard grass and alfalfa blended fields for horse and cow hay in Western, NY just East of Rochester on a 70 acre farm back in the 1994 - 96 when I went back to school wanting to become a Vet, you know the dream...my brain could not handle university level calculus and the engineering Physics professor had a heart to heart with me and said I should think of a different career path... got that Biotech degree.
