Just an old two-cycle, pretty normal. Every season = 1. New fuel with premix or injector oil, 2. New spark plugs, 3. Use the choke until warmed up.

agreed, plug is a big one
they obviously didnt use the choke. MY boat runs that same suzuki engine, its either a 50 or a 60hp, and it can sometimes have trouble running when cold without the choke, so just use it, even if its hot outside.

It’s a 2 stroke!1 #1 Ether/starting fluid #2 Spark plugs. And if still problems #3 carburetors clean/rebuild/replace
Love this content, Need more like it. Strange and interesting relics of the past. Biggest fail is chase starting it not facing the direction to take off.
My brother has a wetbike, to start them you have to hold open the throttle a little bit. Should be all you need to do since it has been running, it’s a safety to shut the engine off if you let go. They’re also really funky and fun to ride on, just give yourself plenty of space to do wide turns at first.
Hands down the best race day editing so far. The montage/music choices.....*chefs kiss.

Hello Hailey I rode one of the 30 years ago. The problem we had with them wetbikes was the sparkplug. It's a fun thing to ride. It would make for a good video to watch.

We still have two that my dad bought new back in 1981 and they still run and ride good. You have to know how to ride them and also how to maintain them. Not the easiest bike to ride

I like the snow bikes, they look like fun but in deep snow you have to keep going and not stopping. I never seen a wet bike but it looked like a two stroke engine so replace the fuel and a new spark plug.
I remember when these came out new and I thought they were sketchy back then. I am telling my age because they were a big idea In the 1980s. Too funny!

On the old wet bikes it important to shut fuel off when trailering them or they would most often times flood themselves. Just a lil heads up is all... good luck!

You where awesome on Friday night@ Kansas in Truck Series Hailie saw u in top 15th place first half of race know 22nd finish wasn't best but least made in one piece led lap too & luv the new Odyessy paint scheme Ford F150.
We had a WetBike in the late 80s. They were super fun and we had a blast with ours. Hope you can get it running. Best of luck with the rest of theseason!
😍 my family had one back in the day have video of two 200lbs+ men trying to ride it together. Was all fun in games till the engine shuts off and you go flying over the handle bars

Check spark plugs, wires and grounds, also make sure it’s getting good clean gas.

I had a wetbike, if you have a safety lanyard, make sure the switch is disengaged , they are finiky.

It's not that it doesn't run its that you don't know the proper start up procedure, most people don't understand that 2 strokes are completely different to start than other engines and often you foul plugs or flood them very easy then starting becomes very difficult.
It's hilarious how you guys thought the wet bikes would be good to go 🤣 it's Facebook marketplace!!! That's the game of it
sometimes you can find gems but those are rare and few between.. early days of FB market place were great when the crappy sellers were still using craigslist.

I wish I could run the top like that. I try in iracing and I get tight. I can run the middle and the bottom fine. I do have a lot of LF spring in it and 2 in. Of rake. Also .4 in RS ride height.
Any pointers?
Always test and learn how they work before you just drop it in the boat launch.

Oh man , so about 30+ years ago I got to play around on one of these moto jet ski's. It was pretty new way back then and at the time it was pretty fun once you got the hang of it. But there is a reason why they aren't made any more......the new ski's are just light years better. Bummed for you guys having issues with that thing.

I have a old jet ski that is 2 stroke like that one when you start it spray staring fluid in it before you take it out and have it full throttle when trying to start it

You are so close to make the 007 machine work if you use some fogging oil and crack the throttle when you start it will work much better using shelf pre mix will make it start after sitting pump gas goes bad so quickly Aviation fuel will work best Choice!

Trust your skills and you will be faster even if the car feels a little bit loose!
May need new spark plugs and also the carburetor may need rebuilt on that wet bike if it has a 2 stroke engine. I used to have a jet ski and had to get the carburetor rebuilt every few years. Additives in pump gas are not good for some of the 2 stroke carburetor parts.
How are you Hope getting out of the sourness from the crash 💥, p.s. I had one of these , scrapped it in 2019 , it full of mud and froze up thanks BigAl California.

Guarantee 110% spark plug on the jetski. My older 2 stroke dirtbike does the same thing when I hual it anywhere. In order to prevent it turn the gas off while towing it.
