I bought the case not only because I like the look and it supports all my hardware, but the reverse case is something I've been looking for, for so long! ALL case manufacturers have cases with the glass to look at on the right. Meanwhile I've been looking for ages for a case like this. I have three monitor and they take up the whole desk, I only have place for the PC on my left, so this will fit perfectly. Glad at least one case manufacturer takes left side PC in account. Thanks for the informative video.

Am going to purchase the case using the reverse mode. This is by far the best set up sequence and camera angle showing the assembly. You must have stumbled a few steps while building this. Appreciate your effort. Liked!
Just discovered you. Great to have someone local producing great builds. It makes it more relatable somewhat. That is a smart looking build, not sure id go the reverse mode myself but I do like the look of the GPU from the top. As I said, glad I found you as I will be doing a new build later this year ( still rocking AMD FX8650 *boke!) all being well so now I know who to turn to! Cheers

This is a seriously phenomenal video. I've never built in such a feature-packed case before so it was pretty intimidating, especially since I somehow had to install a massive 4090, ten case fans, and two SATA drives in this unusual reverse configuration. Your guide was instrumental in showing exactly how to get it working, and on top of that, getting it to look way nicer than any other PC I've built.
This case is incredible by the way -- it's definitely not as straightforward as some other cases due to how modular it is, but it's very thoughtfully designed to let you put a ton of hardware into it, and it feels really robust and well-engineered.
Im planning on jamming a 4090 into an inverted Evo case as well. Which way did you mount your card? im worried ill have to mount it upright like in the video so it doesn't get in the way of the AIO tube

Just ordered my LL O11 Dynamic EVO a couple days ago. I knew the thing was modular and capable of an inverted setup, but I had no idea the fan brackets came off like that. This makes AIO and fan installations so stupid-easy it's not even funny. Absolutely LOVE the engineering that's gone into this case

Thanks for making this video. I used this video to build my first PC. The only thing I did differently was installed the GPU directly in the PCI slot. I didn't like routing my video cable to the GPU through the case like you did. Thanks again for the detailed video.

Beautiful built. From my point of view, I think the bottom left should be the air inlet, because this outlet fan is pulling air out of the case from the bottom inlet.

Something that I did not see in the video, that might be of interest to someone building for the first time:
You actually have to remove the top panel first, because the glass panels on the front and side each have one screw at the top that need to be removed. Don't go pulling at it thinking it'll come off like it did here!
I would say an important and missing component of this guide is that the front and side panels do absolutely not just lift away and are secured in shipping by a small screw only removable after removing the top panel. After watching your video I pulled from the corner, which slightly lifts and felt like the opposing clip was stuck and I bowed the glass, be very very careful and ensure you remove the screw first.

I ended up stripping one of the bracket screws, i recommend people use a washer when securing the gpu bracket to the fan bracket

Is there any chance that you would even be able to see Lian Li streamer cable coming off of the GPU in that orientation?
Thank you for your detailed Video. I think that will help me extremely for my build tomorrow when my Lian Li o11 Dan Evo, my Infinity fans and my NZXT Kraken 360 arrive. I have a few questions left so maybe you are so kind and answer them.
When the GPU is upright (also my favorite position for it and ordered the long Lian Li Riser cable and the bracket), isn't there a huge gap between the AiO Top Outtake fans and only one fan in the rear before the bottom intake fans? Doesn't this look odd when trying to use L Connect to merge lights for effects? That is my only concern for the upright GPU? Is there any chance to mount the GPU vertical in reverse mode with the long Riser cable and the vertical bracket from Lian Li? Or is this simply not possible? Because then i could use another 3 Infinity fans on the side for cool merging effects.

Almost perfect, is it possible to lower the gpu so I can do push pull on my radiator?
I wonder how the temperatures will be compared with O11 XL, especially in reversed mode but without the new GPU mount, just straight into the motherboard if possible. Running only a 360 Silent Loop 2 cooler on a 10850k@5.1 all core, a 3080 TUF LHR stock fans and 10 Arctic P12 A-RGB. Also my RAM gets toasty in my XL because the GPU is pushing a lot of heat right next to it (i am running high binned B-Die RAM @4400CL15 with 1.5v). I am looking at this case for a swap and to order the front mesh pannel together with 3 x Phanteks T30-120mm fans (for the AIO) and perhaps 7 x Scythe Kaze Flex 120mm fans , because i'm tired of endless cables and the RGB overall (i know unifans have less cables, but i still wanna take a break from it).
Any tips on how we can utilize the type c on the io kit without any available header on the motherboard? Can we use those pcie extender hubs for usb 3.2?

Is there a significant temperature difference if you do not have the 3 side exhaust fans and just have the chimney setup?
Do those cases have a solid panel insert option or would it be best to paint the inside of the glass for a solid panel look?
So hard to decide if I go inverted or regular. Definitely going to mount my gpu vertical though!

Hey mate. Appreciate your guide. You've earnt a sub :P I'm doing a reverse build now. I don't have the upright GPU bracket yet as I thought I could get away without the Upright GPU Bracket and extra-long PCIE riser cable, but I would love to see a horizontal build. Namely because, in my build at least, it screws up my chimney design airflow. The GPU is upside down and draws air from the top of the case. So, it's going against the natural way of things. That is, hot air rises but the GPU will be going against that. Moreover, I can't put my AIO (NZXT Kraken Z63) on top. The Kraken's cables can't go around the GPU (Gigabyte 3090). I thought about vertical mount too, but I just can't see how that would be possible in this case's reverse mode. Any tips?

Did you use the riser cable provided in the Lian Li upright kit? Isn't that riser cable pci-e gen3.0? and wouldn't that pose an issue with a pci-e gen4.0 motherboard and GPU?

What are temps like with this config? 3 intake, 7 exhaust is very negative pressure. Not sure I've ever run a negative pressure setup before.
Now I'm torn between using my Lee and Lee 24 pin GPU power streamer or using the upright GPU build kit that sucks

Would a huge card like MSI Suprim 4080 also fit in this? Has a 4 slot cooler, and also higher. I wonder if that fits with power connector, and top AIO still, or do they block each other? I cant find any dimensioning for available place there.

Pretty nice build. Would a 420 Liquid Freezer iii fit in the top of the inverted case? I am planing to do a simmilar build but i worry about the 420 AIO mounted to the top. Maybe someone made a build with a 420?

I´m building this myself rightnow and I´m extremely curious on how you managed to connect the GPU with the pcie power cables. There is no way in heaven I will be able to do this with my stock be quiet PSU cables and now I see myself being forced to buy more flexible sleeved ones and hope for the best.

First of all , thank you for this video. It's by far the most detailed and most helpfull video so far and i'll be using it in an upcoming build.
My next build will be mid-2022 and this time i'm gonna be building it myself, instead of a friend.
I am going with the Lian Li Evo case inverted ofcourse as my case is on the left side of my desk..
I will use AL120 fans as they look very good and there isn't much to it cabling wise (unlike corsairs) because you have the easy connectors & controller.
Looking at 3 fans in the bottom set as intake /3 side fans intake / 1exhaust on the rear.
As for CPU cooler i'm going with a Lian Li Galahad 360 on top set as exhaust.
Now i have a few questions.
Should i get 2x3packs or 1x3pack & 4single fans, price wise it's similar if i buy 2x 3 packs i have 2 controllers and only need one.
Do the Galahad fans work with the LianLi controller as i know the LConnect has some RGB bugs if you combine AL & SL fans... Or should i swap these fans out with the AL120's? Which means i'll need 3 more fans or should i relocate/re-use the Galahad fans behind the GPU as you don't really see those (you used SL fans there)..
Should i use the AIO cooler in combination with the motherboard and then use the motherboard RGB software instead of LConnect.. As you didn't use the motherboard cable on the connector.
I really am abit of an overthinker regarding this,just want a clean setup regarding controlling RGB and other stuff.. Just wish the galahad came with AL-fans or at least you had an option to choose which fans you want.
I mean i do have some budget and can stretch for some extra fans. Only thing i'll be re-using is my RTX 2070 Super which i'll then upgrade with next gen GPU's.

1 controller can be used with 4 groups of fans so you will only need 1 (although if not too much extra no harm in getting two in case one breaks or you want to expand later). L connect is only for uni fans and with galahad on top you can't really see those fans anyway so I wouldn't go for extra fans there (you can swap them later if you don't like them). You can plug in the RGB cable and use both the L-connect and motherboard software to see what effects you like better.

Indeed i only need one controller but i would have a backup controller which is good to have. i would basicly setup the PC like you did in the video so yeah my guess is to just swap the Galahad fans with AL120's (like you did) and put the galahad fans behind the GPU and go from there. Can always swap later like you say. Was just to make sure Galahad fans can be connected to the connector that comes with the other fans. Cheers for the answer ;-)
Just what I needed an inverted build, looks great. A question on the fans please, am I right in thinking there are 3 intake fans and 7 exhaust fans in this build? I thought it was better to create a balanced air pressure in the case?
That's what I thought too. I wanted to do an upright gpu build as well but the fan config doesn't make sense

One thing I noticed the bracket for the gpu is too short for my 3050 I moved it over or where the fans would normally mount. Scuffed my fan a little but no one is gonna see it. A longer bracket for the gpu slack would be better

My case had screws securing the glass panels in. Your guide didn’t mention the screws. I almost damaged my case by following your instructions.
If the fan on the side feeds the air into the gpu backplane, will the heat dissipation be better?

Is there a way to lower the GPU slightly? I think it would be more aesthetically pleasing to see the entire GPU.
15:43 note that you will have to buy AFTERMARKET 35mm radiator screws to fasten Lian Li UNI SL fans to this radiator because the provided ones are not even close to being long enough. I swear this reverse mode build has been the biggest headache I have ever dealt with in my life, I'm now going on week 3 and am still having to buy parts regularly just to get the littlest things done, inch by inch......
What are the GPU thermals in this orientation??

This is an old comment but I just built in this case -- a 4090 FE with this exact configuration works fine: reverse configuration, upright GPU kit, 360mm rad on top. However, there's very little clearance for the 12VHPWR cable. If your PSU has a bulky cable/adapter it must do a gnarly 90 degree bend right at the connector, which puts a lot of tension on it and seems like a very bad idea with these cables. I ordered a slimmer 12VHPWR cable off of Amazon and will be replacing it with a safer Cablemod 90-degree adapter as soon as those ship in a couple months.
I initially bought a Gigabyte Windforce 4090 and luckily realized before unboxing it that there was no chance that would fit with the upright GPU kit. It's way too thick and will conflict with the 360mm radiator, so I returned it and waited to find a 4090 FE. The FE is *barely* slim enough to clear the radiator -- I don't think any of the partner cards will fit due to either thickness or length.

Anybody have a perspective on doing this with an EVGA 3080ti FTW3?
Is there a specific reason why you chose to top mount the PSU? Is cable management easier that way or are there any other benefits? The user manual presents an option to mount it to the bottom as well. I will be using a 200mm PSU, so I might want to remove the HDD cage all together, but I'm worried if only 4 screws will be enough to support the PSU.
Should be fine;
the psu instructions dictate the best airflow is if there is enough space between the top case and the top vent, then Top mount is preferred

why would you do a reverse setup if you're mounting gpu vertically???
It looks like the Lian Li upright graphics card kits are now shipping with 380mm extender cables (even gen4). How long is the cable in your build video? Seems like 380mm would be long enough to route behind?

Just tried to build this with an E-ATX... the E-ATX will block the GPU to mounted Upright. Just thought to let everyone knows?
I have the worst case scenario. I have a Strix card so I have run in inverted mode with the GPU upright bracket. But can't run in inverted mode because I have a 280mm AIO, and the AIO completely blocks the bottom connectors on the motherboard (you couldn't get a cable in there if you tried)

Even though i want my pc to be at my left side (since me and my boyfriend have a long double desk for gaming and i don't like blocking the middle of the desk with my pc) i really don't like that its just flipped around like cpu and ram are at the down side, gpu is up and also the rear fan is at the down side.. i can't get this to see and feel right in my mind 😅 so middle of the desk it is for me
Hi Christopher, been loving the videos. Question for you. I have a ROG Strix 2080TI which is 12 inches long. Given the GPU length and the updated information from Lian Li with regards to the inverted case and upright GPU capability, would you recommend I build inverted upright anyway and deal with the empty space or stick with a standard build and vertical GPU as in your previous recommendation video? Thanks! I recommend your videos often because of how well you break down details and how in-depth your guides are.
Just find some thin plastic, paint it black or white and mount it towards the top and bottom to fill those gaps
Also, he recommends fans behind the upright gpu. I bought a 3 pack of white argb artic p12s. 35 bucks
what is that exhaust fan doing in the bottom right ?`??? makes no sense at all to get rid off the fresh air thats coming
I just preordered this case! I have a 2 fan gpu and want to go for the same upright look. Is that possible, and if possible would it be more efficient to use 3 120 fans of 2 140 fans?

That's what I was thinking. I have 3 120s I could mount behind the upright gpu (3fan gpu) or I also have 2 noctua 140s....I'm just going to test both on my own. Do me a favor tho. When you get your evo can you reply back a let me know if you received an "optional accessories box" as I didn't get shit.
