- This video review is for Hasbro's generation one Transformers the movie reissue repaint of Decepticon Skywarp. He is a shared exclusive between Hasbro Pulse and Wal-Mart. This version of Skywarp is designed / painted to 1986 cartoon movie accurate , but does it pull off the look?

I'm just glad these actually exist....back in the day I use to say,, " I wish that reissue these G1 toys with the cartoon colors "... Never would I thought actually did it... I'm just grateful I have these in my collection 😊❤

You should put the decals on. It makes those retro toys even look cooler.

I want them to do the aerialbots, sideswipe and jazz but some of them appeared in the movie adaptation comic instead of the actual movie. When I read the movie comic it showed why the aerialbots, the protectobots and omega supreme didn’t appear in the movie, those bots are protecting the ark from Menasor and bruticus.
They have never reissued the Aerialbots. Supposedly, they lost the original molds. And because we have been getting reissues for 20+ years now and no Aerialbots, Stunticons, Dinobots, and more, I don't think it's likely.
Do you think we'll ever get a cartoon accurate Astrotrain? That seems long overdue. Especially given that Astrotrain's toy and cartoon figure have entirely different colors.
I'm certain we will get a cartoon color Astrotrain. He was just giving a reissue in 2019 for Wal-Mart. BTW E-Hobby gave us a G1 cartoon Astrotrain back in 2001-02.
@@80sTransfromersFanThe E-Hobby figure was more cartoon accurate. However, the train almost looks a bit pinkish purple. It's now insanely expensive.
I hope we're right about a Retro Astrotrain. Most of the large figures from the Walmart reissue line have been released with the exception of Astrotrain and Devastator. I do have confidence that we will get a Retro Astrotrain. I think a Retro Astrotrain will have a gray and purple color that better reflects the cartoon. A Retro Astrotrain will have a white or light silver face with red eyes and no stickers.
It would be cool to get the ghost Starscream 👍🏼

Enjoyed the review. My hard to find one was Thundercracker. Thankfully, I pre-ordered Skywarp on time. I can live with the missile/guns but the cluster bombs are ridiculous. Overall, pretty cool having them all. Did you get Starscream replaced? I know you had an issue with is face paint job. Happy New Year!
Yes, I was able to swap out Starscreams. The updated version is in this video and the Thundercracker video as well. Happy New Year!
15:07 ... Meanwhile, *_Skyfire_* is wondering if harmony gold had a hand in him not appearing in this video, eventhough his siege and MP iterations stayed away from his tatsunoko, jetfire, chunky monkey looks.
As far as 18:24, I would prefer ashy Starscream over the translucent since I don't think that *_"here's a hint!"_* starscream was ever made (despite multiple "sleep mode" optimus's being done at multiple scales).
2 more thoughts to add...
[1] ghost starscream never made an appearance in the movie, it was only episodes after the fact... whereas my ash starscream suggestion was/IS in the '86 movie. So that would go along with the theme of toy deco'ing their movie appearances.
[2] another case for bombshell being upgraded to scourge rather than cyclonus is the insecticon replications and the many sweeps.
...another thought that just came to mind (that I don't think I've ever heard anyone suggest as a possibility) is that perhaps the supposed animation error was the result of skywarp doing a last ditch effort, with his last bit of energy, to activate his teleporting capability before unicron's reformatting took hold.
Lol Skyfire was in a different room, so he didn't make the cut.
They actually made a "here's a hint" Starscream!!! He was released simultaneously alongside the Ghost version! He was black, gray, and char-gold. I owned it years ago.
@80sTransfromersFan I got the KO of that black and gold seeker/screamer a few years ago (as I didn't resume my collecting, as an adult, until well after those reissues were and ehobby exclusives were already years in the past)... but that' black & gold was definitely not the look he had in the movie. I guess one could say the gold was an homage to the crown that didn't discolor, but I'd prefer a black/grey akin to the look he had before the ash crumbled. I mean, even super7 reaction made a grey sleepmode/dying optimus in monotone colors.
I think paint is better than bare plastic.
Still thinking on getting on retro figure wanted hound but sold out on preorder this guy still in stuck so are kick back and shrapnel blaster too can pick
I passed on the Insecticons. I thought the price was to high.
I skipped this one after buying the first two. If I can get it for $20 then I will. I did some part swapping with old junker toys to make a painted face g2 starscream, except instead of white and hot pink, it’s the color of the retro release starscream with hot pink metal body. Has all the G2 components: wings, small rear fins, pink electronic box mounted on top. I custom painted the g1 missle launchers and the short bombs. Bought the null ray accessories 3D printed.
Sounds very cool, custom! I still haven't seen Thundercracker in stores. I eventually picked up a second Starscream for $10.
