The fridge would likely be my number one appliance to keep running. I would definitely want a pass through model, so I can use a solar panel to recharge while drawing down the battery.
Best of luck, it is nice to have at least some peace of mind. In FL the solar panels will charge much better than Northern states in the winter. Best of luck!
thanks for this video, haven’t used mine yet. I think I’m gonna get to test my 4 patriots generator, hurricane Helene headed for north Florida and beyond!
Glad it helped, hope you don't need it, but if you do I hope it performs well for you!! If it were me and you lose power I'd only run the fridge for like 30 mins at a time and then leave it sit a couple hours, give or take. Best of luck!
Isn't the theory of only needing to run the fridge / freezer only ten minutes an hour debunked by the fact the fridge/freezer unit will only run as needed. Their should be no power usage by the unit until it is needed. This generator can extend the content life of whats inside the fridge/freezer by keeping the doors closed and running every couple of hours but the fact is a btu is a btu is a btu. You can't expect to go in and out of the fridge getting drinks and only run this for 10 minutes and hour and get days of use out of the charge.
good points for sure. Although I do think that the food would still survive if you had to save power and run it this way, might not be as 'cool' as we'd like, but don't think it would go bad. I totally get what you are saying. Maybe a better way might be to turn the temp down in the fridge during emergencies. Thanks have a good one

I'm in the process of sending mine back. It was charged when I got it. It worked for the 3 minutes I tested it. Put it back up the way I received it and the other day did a simulation power failure. Pulled it out, turned it on and it showed full power. Turned on the outlets, plugged in a small device, turned on the device and the bars on the generator battery went straight to zero and it shut down. NOT reliable to be ready when you need it. I plugged it back in to charge it and it never took another charge. If you got one, understand, it just may not work when you NEED it. Good luck.

I got one of these things, and plugged my 1360 watt sunjoe power washer into it and ran it for 30 mins, and it still has 28% batt life left. Oh one side note mine is a bluetti AC180.
Try hooking the one you have up to a 110v air compressor and a electric circular saw and see if it powers them up and how long it lasts?? (It may take one with 2500 watts) Heck you might want to bring it out in the woods to use power tools and air compressors to build a deer tower.
Math... this unit has a 768Wh capacity battery in it. If you have 100 watts of solar it would take 7.68 hours to charge it. If you have more solar (say 200 watts) it would take 3.84 hours. Obviously the efficiency of the panels and the amount of direct sun you have will also play in to the variables.
@@adairw Thank you for your view. The efficiency of the panels may be the reason. Why I'm asking, is I'd like to purchase this generator, but I'm reluctant based upon another product sold by 4 Patriots. It's their Patriots Power Cell. First, it DOES recharge my I-phone, but only when the Power Cell is fully charged. And the only way the power cell gets charged is if I plug it in to an electrical outlet to charge it. The solar panel does charge, but this unit (I bought 4), does not get even close to being fully charged by solar only. I can put this unit in the window, facing the sun for hours, days, weeks and months continuously and still this unit does not fully charge. So, I'm skeptical about how long REALLY the generator will take to fully recharge by solar alone. I appreciate your math answer and how it's "supposed" to respond, and time to recharge scientifically and based on variables, but that really doesn't answer my question. By your thinking, this unit SHOULD be fully charged in about 8 hours of direct sunlight in an optimum setting. DOES it, though? That's what I want to know, before I buy it. I'd like someone to do a video, putting the solar panel recharge to a test. How long does it take to fully recharge this unit, by solar alone? Do you know, or do you know of any other video's that have tested this? Thanks.

If you only need to run the fridge for 10 minutes every hour, you could get 45 minutes of solar charging during the off cycle. This would seriously extend your available energy.
Real world, I'd our power goes out I wait 4 hours without opening refrigerator or freezer. Then I run the generator for an hour to cool them back down. I take out anything I need at the beginning of that hour. Then shut the generator off for 4 hours. Though not solar, the concept is the same for long term.
Yep you've got a good plan for outages! I even opened the fridge much more than need be on this test.. It was 'one of those days..' so I needed a bunch or refills! :0 Can't go wrong thinking ahead! Thanks man
Ithink it is not a generator but a glorified battery.. i need a generator with battery and solar cells working team , i live in a country that as it descends into comunism will have longer and longer powercuts and i need also 220 v for outlets....can u help me
Something like this would be good for short term power outages as most are. Except when natural disasters hit (hurricane & tornado season for example). Then you'll need something with more endurance. I have an 8kw generator that runs 9 hrs at 50% load on 7.5 gal gas (longer with lighter loads). I keep 10 gal of gas on standby if needed. Total run time is 17.5+ hrs; long after a solar charger has timed out.
agreed 100%. We also have a full home generator that we converted to LP. Has come in handy for as many outages as we have here. Thanks have a good one.
None of these solar generators are designed to run inductive loads like refrigerators, power tools, microwaves, air compressors or motors because they employ low cost, high frequency transformerless inverters in their design. High frequency solar generators might be able to start and run some of these inductive loads when their new but high frequency, transformerless solar generators provide a very limited surge capacity and their MOSFETs can actually be damaged every time the inductive load is turned on. I know this to be true after running a factory authorized inverter repair shop for the past 23 years. High frequency inverters simply don't last in real world applications. So the answer is "yes" you can run a refrigerator/freezer with an 1800 Watt solar generator, but not for very long beyond its warranty period. Their MOSFETs simply can't take the abuse caused by repeated high surge loads like a fridge. A far better choice is to spend a little extra money and invest in a low frequency, transformer based solar generator instead. You'll be much happier in the end.
Interesting information. Like many things in our economy people have to make the best choices for the cost of things they can afford. I'm sure most people (myself included) would love to be totally self sufficient with energy but it can cost a fortune to do so permanently. So we make the best choices we can with what is available in our price range. But I don't doubt anything you are saying. Thanks
Something's fishy here. I don't think refrigerators run continuously. I'm gonna spend $2500 to get up every hour to shut the Patriot thing off for days? Some people have a refrigerator and a chest freezer that cuts the usage time in half right? My food spoils while the solar panel strains to try to recharge this thing huh in bad weather and night?
If there is one thing that I have learned in life it's that planning ahead may not pay you back often.. But when it does, it pays you back 100 fold! Have a good weekend bud thanks.
you know its just a battery and a power inverter you can use a car battery and a cheap power inverter and get the same use for a fraction of the cost the patriots are like $2999.00 you paying patriot for putting batteries and power inverter in a plastic box for $3000. thats ridiculous and waste of money!!! and you can get the car battery and inverter for around$300.00 THEY BOTH DO THE SAME THING!!! don't waste your money on these gimmicks!!!
It's not in my nature to be mean, but at the risk of sounding that way to some, I feel obligated to say, this is probably, by far, the worse deal you can get on as solar system. The battery is 768 watt hours, and that should give you enough to do some comparisons with other units, say, on Amazon. Also the threat of riots, and outages are the same tactics the 4Patriots people use to push their products. Honestly, I'm afraid the videos author is going to hurt himself more than anything else with this video, that is unless he stands to gain monitarily from 4Patriots.
The scary BS is very real. Nothing wrong with being prepared and never having to use it. It's when the shtf and people are not prepared that is the problem. Just let the power go out in a big city for a few days in 100 degree heat and see how many people get hurt or worse. Thanks

@@kapperoutdoors Maybe a little reseach before putting out this 4Patriots infomercial would help answer these questions?
Nice video, was thinking of getting a 500wh one but it's not gonna cut it 😆, guess better look at a 1000wh minimum.
Good choice! Best of luck, it is always good to have a few backup plans.
Interesting informative video 👍
Thx bro
So, let me ask you this. If you were spending your own money, would you buy the 4Patriots product over the compettion? Why?
These kind of products are changing very rapidly! So you have to do your own homework on specs. And of course when things go on sale. My main point is to be prepared the best you can with backup power and food! Thanks
I ordered mine September 17
Can’t get phone number to call only email
Automated reply 😢
Sorry to hear that, hope the power does not go out before then! But is it a worldwide phemon.. Many shortages going on.. Best of luck thanks
Reply: "Great video! Having a reliable home backup power solution is crucial, especially for outdoor enthusiasts like us. I recommend checking out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It offers massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets. Plus, its waterproof technology and uninterrupted power supply make it perfect for camping adventures. Stay powered up and enjoy quality family time in the great outdoors!"
There are a lot of options, which is why competition is good!
If you only need to run the fridge for 10 minutes every hour, you could get 45 minutes of solar charging during the off cycle. This would seriously extend your available energy.
Yep good point! Nice to have back up plans in place!
How much
Real world, I'd our power goes out I wait 4 hours without opening refrigerator or freezer.
Thanks man
1eco flow delta pro and 2 eco flow delta extra smart battery (10,8) KWH test it out on youtube
Remember, when you extrapolate, that its not including the start-up electricity
I'm from a Philippines, and i ask you to how to order po
There are links in the description of this video to order. Best of luck
I'm trying to order a solar generation 2 for 1
It's still a ripoff.
How much?
Not sure but there is a link in the description you might get a discount?
Ithink it is not a generator but a glorified battery.. i need a generator with battery and solar cells working team , i live in a country that as it descends into comunism will have longer and longer powercuts and i need also 220 v for outlets....can u help me
Anyone else find it ironic that it's made in China and sold by a company called 4patriots
Well that is quite common for many companies.. I sure wish we'd bring back manufacturing to the US!
Thanks
I bought a new 2000x witch is more powerful than the one you have solar panels came with it also now it was expensive!!
yeah this stuff ain't really cheap that's for sure! Best of luck, hope we never need it!!
That could come in real handy one of these days. Why suffer needlessly?
If there is one thing that I have learned in life it's that planning ahead may not pay you back often.. But when it does, it pays you back 100 fold! Have a good weekend bud thanks.
👍
I’m worried about your chances of diabetes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol so far I'm still good! And I'm closer to 60 than 50 now!
jesus bro. chill with the soda lmao. nice video but damn whatchya drink a 2 liter a day? i’ve heard it keeps the doctor away.
I read the comments and someone said the generator is made in China?
So roughly 9 hours. I will pass, my BLUETTI has proven to last full charge on refrigerator for 12 hours at a time.
There's a lot of variables and lots of manufacturer's. That's the great part of America! Glad yours works well for you thanks
lol there is a bluetti commercial running now :)
you know its just a battery and a power inverter you can use a car battery and a cheap power inverter and get the same use for a fraction of the cost the patriots are like $2999.00 you paying patriot for putting batteries and power inverter in a plastic box for $3000. thats ridiculous and waste of money!!! and you can get the car battery and inverter for around$300.00 THEY BOTH DO THE SAME THING!!! don't waste your money on these gimmicks!!!
You are also paying for their marketing (I bet their marketing cost are through the roof).
So that generator does have a 240 volt plug 🔌 in? 🤔😮 most fridges require that type of plug
"Most" refrigerators are 120V, with standard 120v plug.
The better fridges are 240 volts, just like the air conditioner units, 240 volt units
are the better units for premium cooling
@@ralphsmith8350 in other countries 240v is the standard, they don't use 120v
How much r they
Not sure, they are on sale right now you can click one of the links to find out. Thanks.
Like Napoleon dynamite would say: it’s a piece of crap 💩
GO ECOFLOW 🙏
Hey folks can and should do their homework. I just showed what it can do, not saying it is any better or worse than a competitor.
I have done 4 years of research on these things. That one is a POS and stop with the scary BS
Exactly. This solar Pimping by these channels is hilarious 😂
Whatever man. People in this country have no idea how bad it could get. Nothing wrong with being prepared. The unit works fine as intended
The scary BS is very real. Nothing wrong with being prepared and never having to use it. It's when the shtf and people are not prepared that is the problem. Just let the power go out in a big city for a few days in 100 degree heat and see how many people get hurt or worse. Thanks
@@kapperoutdoors
The really scary part,of that grid down scenario,is if they are relying on a tiny 3 Amp for a half hour, solar "generator" in December 🙃 And that's if it's been charged fully,in the wall outlet....😃
@@kapperoutdoors
Here's my problem, with these super hyped, weak as F,solar "generators" that these "Prepper" channels are pimpin..
Poor broke AZZ grandmother,of someone, buys this hype, and saves up her meager $$,+ actually buys one.
Well, poor Granny lives in Michigan,so in December,a big blizzard hits, and it's lights out for poor Granny.
So she gets out her $1,000 solar 🙃" generator" well, the sun ,next time it's out in 2 weeks, looks like a tiny lightbulb.
So,poor Granny ,plugs in her " generator" and it buzzes, blinks, and won't even charge her phone,so Granny can call for help.
Granny could have had a 15 Amp gasoline ,real actual generator, for 1/3 of what she paid.
Whatever that,solar fan... 😃
I'm here from the future, do not buy the solar generator
Anyone thinking of purchasing this,,,,,, PLEASE do your research.
Well I’ve only listen to about 50 seconds of the video and it sounds like you’re already trying to sell it to me. So Not sure your review is going to be legit or not!! But I’ll listen to it anyway.
Well did you watch the whole thing? I simply laid out the facts..
Who is this dude ? Not a good spokesman at all. Not believable.
lol that's funny. This is a factual presentation exactly how it happened. Not sure what you can't believe?
I got solar but I'm going to put a timer on my freezer
There's one difference between me and you Kapper I wash out my plastic cup after I drink out of it I don't keep pouring different drinks from coffee to soda and never wash it😂😂😂 🧌
eh, a little more bacteria may help to strengthen your immune system! :0

How much did they pay you to give this overpriced device a good review
lol just did the product review!
Where is the link showing? How much this is?
Should be a link in the video description. Best of luck.
