After my lifetime of building (55 years) I'm so impressed by this mans' craftsmanship & patience in sharing his skills.

I was just going through my liked videos and saw this. He was up there in age, and often wondered if he was still around. The guy knew his stuff. I will always watch his videos when I continue building my 1/4scale cub.
    RIP verdie.

I've had 56 years of scratch building RC from kits, plans and my own designs, patience is a learned thing when it comes to traditional covering jobs like this man is doing. I have tried to pass my knowledge and experience on, but unfortunately most of the younger aero modelers are not interested. They want instant model planes that fly out of the box. It's a real shame that the old time model building skills may be lost.

You are probably right about instant planes. My dad built models from 1937 to 2018. He taught a few of us but I lack the patience and passion he had.

You are totally right. Sorry for the disturbance; I've always built my airplanes and lined with Monokote, but now I want to finish building my SIG PIPER CUB 1/4 that I started several years ago, but I want to wrap it in fabric. can you give me some tips? What fabric can I use and what glues. In Venezuela we have very few model airplane stores and the usual materials are not available.

This guy has an abundance of information about both model and real piper cubs. He is a craftsman for sure. I wish I had his patience!

That would probably work but wouldn't be like the original which was mad with fabric. Good luck.
