That looks like a reasonably sized piece you could easily laser or die cut from a single sheet. My question is, why aren't these 1 piece to begin with? :P Kind of like the barn-door hinge setup in the other kits, a little old school!
Is it absolutely necessary to mount the engine before gluing the firewall in and finishing the nose of the plane? Just nervous about mounting engine and not having it at right length for the cowl
@@balsausaairplanes6566 thank you for the response, I didn't realize that the engine I have, has the manual as a PDF. It has all the dimensions I need so I can mount the engine now.

I would at least get it set up as far as where your blind nuts are placed. Its a lot easier to do that before the firewall is placeed.
