It just sounds so wrong when Alexis doesn't use an English accent, I never suspected he wasn't English especially as he was in Sharpe before Buffy and Angel
I'm watching agents of shield and the whole time I'm thinking, Phil's voice sounds SOO familiar and I can't think of who he sounds like, and it hit me that he sounds kinda like Nathan. so I went online to see if there was a video of them together and I found this one. do they found similar or is it just me???
It's not inherently stilted, but it certainly, and rather easily, can be. It takes a bit more work making it feel natural and casual than contemporary dialog generally does for contemporary actors. It's easy to fall into the trap of over-playing the lines rather than leaning into them, since a lot of actors will look at the text and assume the way to respect the text is to perform it big, grandiose and "official", when it might be better to go against that assumption and relax into the language.
Am I the only one geeking out over Castle & Coulson at the same table, together?
Also, "serial heroes" MADE my DAY! MLMoW!!!!
Goddamn it's good to see Alexis Denisof again. I missed him. =3
I didn't know Richard Castle and Sandy Rivers knew each other, that's awesome! (two of my favorite shows kind of connected, nice)

Either that, or this interview was done very early in the morning.
i know it reminds me of misha from supernatural on set deep voice off set neurotic
The interviewer was really awkward, what were those questions?
The interviewer does know jack about Shakespeare from his questions. Stilted? really?
why did Nathan say absolutely nothing????
He seems exhausted.
Worse Interview Questions EVER!!
They look very tired
Is Nathan Fillion hung over? Are they all?
I know it's his natural accent, but when I hear Alexis Denisof as himself instead of Wesley it sounds like he's doing a bad impression of an American.
