"The comic strip “Dilbert” disappeared with lightning speed following racist remarks by creator Scott Adams, but it shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone who has followed them both.
Adams, who is white, was an outspoken presence on social media long before describing Black people as a “hate group” on RUclips and, to some, “Dilbert” had strayed from its roots as a chronicler of office culture.
The editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, which dumped “Dilbert” last year, said the comic strip “went from being hilarious to being hurtful and mean.” The Los Angeles Times, which joined dozens of other newspapers in dropping the comic following last week’s remarks, had quietly replaced four of Adams’ strips last year.

@@timb787 Of course it's ok to be white. It's OK to be you. Black people aren't asking White people to be a shame of being White. But if we look at the history of America, other cultures haven't been embraced. That's changing and for some reason White males feel threatened by it. In Charlottesville they were chanting Jews will not replace us. When a movie comes out and the lead is a female a group of white males complain about her but if a White male is doing the exact same thing they are fine with it. Now that doesn't mean there aren't a minority of people who feel the way this poll indicates and 26% is hardly a majority let alone half. But we know all of our world is changing and more people of color are being included. When I went to school parents had to fight to have Black history which is American history even taught. Teachers who taught is were volunteering to stay after school and it was an extra class. Parents were told that there wasn't time to teach it. Now what message does that send to Black people? To all other cultures when the main focus is European history and what happened to white people to build a country. I think Black people participated more than just slavery, Inventing things from a peanut and MLK and civil rights. Did we need so many years of Christopher Columbus who was taught and drilled that he discovered America when he never set foot on North America? Every where you looked a white person had done this great thing or that great thing but not so much when it came to other cultures or even women. Today that's changing but change is slow and always met with resistance. There are plenty of White people who have very low opinions of Black people just as there are plenty of Black people who have low opinions of themselves. I use to grow up wondering what did Black people do for white people to hate us so much that they formed a club and committed atrocities just because we exist. Why do I have to learn about what happened in Tulsa Oklahoma when I was damn near 50 and not in school. Why are white people so angry at Black people that celebrate people who betrayed the country, hung us,kill our children for whistling at a white woman, shoot a man for jogging in the wrong neighborhood. That's power when you can walk into another man's home take a child beat him to death and toss him in the river and not do a day of time for it because the system says you didn't do it. The same system today that was used attempt to do nothing to the men who killed Ahmad Aubrey. The system that told his parents that he was killed in attempting to rob a house when nothing took place. If the idiots in that case hadn't taped it and released it then the system would have successfully saved them. Now if those things were happening to white people I could understand some hate going towards the people who did it but the klan was formed just to let other groups of people know this is our country. Things like keeping the Confederate flags and statues,naming schools and army forts after people who again betrayed the country and a war was fought just to send the same message. Can you even imagine if Germany had done that to the Jewish community after ww2? Displaying a swastika is illegal in Germany. They didn't name schools after Nazis and have Jewish children attend those schools. They didn't fly the flags or name streets after the people involved. They did act like they are proud of that past but America did when it came to slavery. We are just now putting away Confederate flags in some states and taking down those statues that didn't even go up until the Civil rights movement but southerners will claim it's southern pride. America is still growing and evolving but Black people are asked to love and sacrifice for a country that didn't show them the same love. Black people have had to fight for the same rights white people believed were given to them by God and that's not right either. Because we were all created by the same God and this country wasn't just built by White people. We all live here and we all need each other to make this country a better place. That also means inclusion of everyone. Both White and Black people use to ask me when Obama was president what did he do specifically for Black people. I always would respond with what did you expect him to do? He wasn't the president of Black people, he was the president of the United States and all her people. Until we realize that we are all Americans. We are all human beings then this progress will continue to be slow. I'm not mad at what Scott said.I have issues with some of it but I'm not mad at it. There are very poor Black communities that I wouldn't want to live in either but instead of fixing the problem in those communities and I grant you the people have to also want better for themselves but they have to be shown that's possible. Showing and highlighting a successful athlete or musician doesn't accomplish that. Neither is when political issues come up do white folks want our leaders to be those same people. Black leaders were killed if I'm not mistaken while David Duke is just fine. The Black Panthers were labeled a threat to the country by the FBI. Black lives matter was also targeted by the FBI.

It has been used by individuals & groups that have otherwise been shown to be racist.
"Better living through better babies" may *seem* laudable enough. But it was a slogan used by the US Eugenics Movement to enforce sterilization of immigrants, poor people, Blacks, & those considered physically or mentally feeble. This movement *was* an inspiration to Hitler & the Nazis.
Even *if all 46%* were racist that is *not* proof that Blacks collectively are a hate group. It doesn't justify advising all Whites to leave a mixed or Black neighborhood.
They do labor tirelessly trying to make their opposition look silly. In fact it makes them look quite silly how hard they try to make others look silly.
"We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." I'm guessing if you read those words with no further information, they don't inherently sound hateful, do they? But those are the 14 words used by white supremacists and specifically Ñâzîs. Dog whistles are meant to sound innocent. Dog whistles are not meant to immediately alarm people, dog whistles are only meant to be registered by other people who use that dog whistle. So of course you don't understand that that statement carries certain undertones because of the reasons and context in which that statement is used. Just because you do not understand complex topics does not mean that these complex topics do not exist, they just don't make sense to you.

Being a white man in the military and traveling all over the world, the US is the worst for racism.
I lost my wife a few years ago. I moved into an apartment next to my daughter. Mostly blacks in the gated campus. The manager is a big black ex cop and now my pastor at the black church. It’s get a bit wild. I am ok with race. We joke about race. It’s a way to communicate. I worked all over the world all my life with People. We are all the same. Get over it. I have been stereo typed many times. Racism is there, I respect that. That’s life. Get over it. I have been show respect. Every morning I walk around the compound and chat with a lot of People. And I care about them. I can live with it.
Ps The manager keeps the compound strictly maintained. He cuts no corners for anyone. He is a very good man.

His claim was that nearly half of black people do not like white people. That is a far cry from 53% agreeing, 26% disagreeing, and the other percentage not sure about a phrase that has been controversial due to the people that usually say it. It would be wise if that guy would get a better source, touch grass, and stop doing what he is claiming black people are doing and stop disliking an entire race of people.
