Your videos are appreciated. I'm a 404 owner (68 German Funkkraftwagen) and I've been following in your footsteps. It's great to see the work being done!
Always great when your father helps! :)
So true! The guy that raised me with the love for old cars and off-roading. It's all his fault XD
Do you remember what was a size of this extraction tool? I need this one as well but I don't know the size. Thank you!
I used the biggest one i could lend, don't remember the size unfortunately.
Next time you are assembling the hub, you need to warm it up to approx. 200 centigrade and you can install it quite easily ;)
For removing as well ;)
j7903 is correct. Must warm it up.
Great work. what is the part number of the sil that you replace?
I don't know the part number unfortunately. i got it in a complete set of seals and gaskets for the 404 axle.
You need a bigger hammer Tom.Is the hub supposed to be such a tight fit going back together? Thanks for sharing and keep em coming
It's a should be a pritty tight fit but on mine there was a little bit of rust and because of that it made it a little bit more work.
