Arthars THIS is the type of content I've been hoping you would start making man, its logically the next step for you as a cc that makes sense and you have a very unique position with good connections and are familiar with the JP/Singapore/CN side as well. Keep it up dawg 💯
Excellent job Arthars, I know you were worried but fuck man you did a great job and your energy and questions and interjections are exactly what your audience was feeling so thanks for being our voice!
I agree with the addon take as long as SE is in control and create their own API. I love UI addons because UI is such a personal preference so the more you can control what you see as a player the better in my opinion.
I really would have liked to see you ask how they felt about raiding against the jp side as well. I think one thing you can provide to set you apart is if you bring some opinions from the jp community about things,.
So how do these people make money? Are they paid to play or something? How do you commit to 1st world progs? I'm sure you have to play more than 4 hours a day, yeah?
Echo is mostly known as a WoW guild, but the reality is that they are a very well established esports organization that has competed at the very top level of WoW's competitive events for years. They have sponsors, just like any other esports organization does, and their players receive a salary to play. Not sure how it will work for FFXIV, but in the WoW race to world first Echo's team all plays together in an official facility, they hire casters to do coverage, etc. They are a professional esports organization. However, it's important to note that Echo's situation is the exception not the rule. The vast majority of people who participate in world first races, whether in WoW or FF, are not supported by esports organizations and thus they have to have jobs outside of the game and take PTO during the race like the other commenter mentioned. For these guys, that will not be the case and they will be paid.
@@flipnskater Yeah, it's obviously a passion of theirs and I'm sure that in the past they took time off of their day jobs to prog. In past races, they were not sponsored by a professional esports organization so they had to do that. Like I said in my previous comment, which you clearly didn't actually read, it's totally normal for people to do that. But now, they are sponsored by Echo, which means they are earning a salary. Echo pays all of their players and obviously that includes these guys. It's hilariously delusional to suggest that these guys aren't being paid by Echo when Echo pays literally everyone else in their organization lmao.
Holy fuck arthars, nice job. This was really good and hopefully this project goes forward, and the name was a given.
