Thanks for watching, be sure to check out my acrylic pour on top of a resin pour video. It's the piece that's shown in today's video ruclips.net/video/GcYyN8D1Y4o/видео.html
Can I just say how wonderful it is to see a resin artist actually wearing the correct PPE? So many don’t and it sends the wrong message. It’s much better to wear the stuff and do a voice over as you have done. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me. I think PPE is super important too. I'm planning on making a video about it soon. In my opinion not enough people use PPE. It's so frustrating to see huge RUclips channels doing resin and not wearing PPE or mentioning it. It sends the wrong message to people just starting out with resin. I had no idea I needed a mask when I first started out, until I reached out to the resin manufacturer and asked for the MSDS sheets for the products I was using. Then after I read them I started wearing a respirator. Thanks for watching 🤗🤗🤗
I started watching you when I lost my mom 2017. You encouraged me to do my first craft at 48! Using dollar tree glass cutting boards! Crafting has become my free therapy through caring for my dad and his loss two years ago! I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge and talent…as well as your wonderful words during your journey through life. Thank you so much! It’s unfortunate that your loss has pushed you to take the scenic route right now. One foot in front of the other and thinking about all of us that you have impacted and adore you! You got this ❤p.s. You have 3 with two legs and two with four legs! Possibly a few with fins???😂
Awe thank you 😊 I am so sorry for your losses. Care Giving is not easy. It's nice when we can find art and creativity as a form of art therapy. When I am busy with my hands my mind is relaxed. It's my stress free time for sure. I wish we had more hours in the day for creativity.
Thanks for watching, you can also use Elmer's white school glue instead of the liquid latex. It's cheaper and works just like this. In this video I show step by step how to use Elmer's school glue to prevent resin drips ruclips.net/video/4DEvaBSOIB0/видео.html
Glad I did a search and found your channel on this because I was kind of unsure if the latex I had was correct. I also appreciate you showing step by step up close details on doing the back. I believe I can handle it now that I know I have the correct tools. Thanks again for sharing.
Awesome, thanks so much for watching. I'm so happy this was helpful. It really is a life saver when doing top coats. I never had luck with doming resin only on the top of my projects. It seemed to always flow over the edge somewhere. So now for everything I do clear top coats on, I use the liquid latex it's way easier and less stressful for me. 😅💟🤗
I use that same brand. Liquid latex is a life saving! I wish I would of knew about it a while ago when I first started making resin stuff. I ruined some pretty pieces because of resin drips but since I found out about liquid latex I haven’t had that issue. Those coasters are so pretty!
Thanks for watching, I feel your pain I had some pieces get ruined too before I discovered liquid latex 😭 It works so good right? It's also kind of fun to peel off 😅🤣😁 Also white elmers school glue works just like liquid latex too. In case you run out and need an alternative before your next bottle of liquid latex arrives😁
That's so cool, how awesome 😁😁😁 Thanks for watching Tyler. It's really a good way to stop those pesky drips. I've heard white elmers glue does the same thing but I haven't tried it yet. I'm too scared it wont come off. Lol.
Thank you for this I wish I had watched this two days ago I just finished doing a top coat and had taped off the other side now I have sticky residue How long did you wait after doing the acrylic pour to resin it
Thanks so much for watching, the liquid latex really is a nice alternative to tape. I use it on almost everything now except canvases 😊 the bottle of liquid latex is about $10 but it lasts a really long time. You dont need to use a lot. I waited about 10 days to add resin after the acrylic pour was dry.
Hey, that’s a great idea. Well both are great ideas. Pouring over a coaster you don’t like and the latex. I’ve been using contact paper. It does take a little bit longer cutting around the edges with a razor. But if your razor is real sharp it seems to work a little faster. But I really like this idea. And those coasters are both beautiful by the way. Thank you for sharing this♥️
Thanks Sherri, you know I am such a klutz I have actually banned myself from using sharp objects outside of the kitchen. One time I almost cut the tip of my finger off when I was heating and cutting resin drips off my mdf board. This method is safer for me 🤣🤣🤣💙💙💙💙💙
Would the latex peel easily off of wood, say if I wanted to resin the top of a box but not have drips on the sides? I realize I can tape the sides but sometimes get a little resin bleeding at the edge, so I thought this liquid latex might work better IF it peels off afterwards...? Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching 😁 it would work on wood, it works on canvas too. You could just use a ruler as a guideline on your box so your line of liquid latex is nice and straight like tape is. Then wipe the ruler off afterwords or let the liquid latex dry on the ruler and peel it off after its dry. Then once the liquid latex is dry on your box you can resin. I usually wait 24 hours before I resin just to be sure the liquid latex is 100% dry 😁
Thanks for the video. Great info. Have you ever tried using the liquid latex on the back of a canvas painting when adding a resin topcoat on the painting? Or what about wood or MDF? Curious if it’ll peel off of those surfaces as well. Thanks again
Thanks so much for watching 💙 the liquid latex will 100% work on wood or mdf. I haven't tried it on canvas though. For canvas I like to use electrical tape. I'll tape the backside of the canvas then the next day the resin drips peel right off with the tape. 😊
I’ve been using electrical tape for years too. Just thinking latex might be a good alternative if it works on canvas. Thanks so much! Loving the videos!
What a good idea!! 😃 that’s really clever I’m thinking artists could use that technique with protecting the sides of their canvases if they don’t like tape residue maybe 😍🌸

Hi, thanks for watching. You don't have to sand at all before adding the liquid latex. After you peel it off you don't need to sand either. For top coats I only sand them if necessary. If there's bubbles, dust or debris on the piece or if the piece has been sitting for longer than 30 days. Then I will sand. Sanding is my least favorite part of resin so I avoid it if I can 🤗

Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🤗 People say vaseline works too but I haven't tried it because it doesn't dry. I would be worried I would get the vaseline somewhere on the front of the piece and the resin wouldn't stick there.
Couldn't I do just the edges? I've done this before but I couldn't remember if I did one coat or 2. And then we I waa taking it off the back I resined and it kinda lifted on the edges.
No, the resin can flow over the edge and onto the back. Then you will have resin drips bonded to the back of your piece. You could do the sides and the back if you don't want clear on the sides.
okay so you are telling me that I didn't have to do the same resin craft 8 times? I finished my resin bc it went to the back and I had to do everything a lot of times to get it kinda good...Thank you I'm buying that right now
Thanks for watching, definitely get some of the liquid latex. I use the Kangaroo brand off Amazon. It works so well for my resin projects 🤗🤗🤗 just paint the liquid latex on the back before you do your resin top coat. Let it dry and then do your clear resin top coat. After your resin top coat is dry the liquid latex peels right off the back along with resin drips and the back side will be nice and clean 🤗

can you pour resin over the latex and leave the latex under the resin permanently? I want to use the liquid latex to seal off some small air bubbles before I pour a final layer of resin
You could do that but I have noticed the liquid latex turns yellow fast. Just keep that in mind if your projects are white or have a lot of clear in them. Thanks for watching 🤗

okay so you are telling me that I didn't have to do the same resin craft 8 times? I finished my resin bc it went to the back and I had to do everything a lot of times to get it kinda good...Thank you I'm buying that right now
Thanks for watching, definitely get some of the liquid latex. I use the Kangaroo brand off Amazon. It works so well for my resin projects 🤗🤗🤗 just paint the liquid latex on the back before you do your resin top coat. Let it dry and then do your clear resin top coat. After your resin top coat is dry the liquid latex peels right off the back along with resin drips and the back side will be nice and clean 🤗
resin pour tip
Thank you 💟💟
Cool!
Thank you 💙💙💙
Fyi... The liquid latex link doesn't work. But thank you for this. I HATE sanding!
Oh no, thanks for letting me know. I will fix it. This is the product I use off Amazon

can you pour resin over the latex and leave the latex under the resin permanently? I want to use the liquid latex to seal off some small air bubbles before I pour a final layer of resin
You could do that but I have noticed the liquid latex turns yellow fast. Just keep that in mind if your projects are white or have a lot of clear in them. Thanks for watching 🤗
Creature liquid latex was recommended by a member of my FB group.
Thanks for watching, the liquid latex works really well or Elmer's school glue. I show step by step how to use the white pva glue (Elmer's glue) to prevent resin drips in this quick video if you want to check it out

Can you use liquid latex on wood?
Yes, it works on wood too. Thanks for watching 🤗
how many hours liquid latex dry
A few hours
Is latex important to make a resin shaker?
I didn't buy latex cuz i didn't know about it. Do i really need it? What is it good for? What if i don't use it?
Please answer🥺i can't find answers on google or something
Thanks for watching. The liquid latex is good if you are doing clear top coats on your shakers. 24 hours later After your clear top coat is dry the resin drips and latex peel right off the back of the shaker. You can also use white Elmer's glue it works just like the liquid latex. I show how to use glue to prevent resin drips in this quick 2 minute video if you want to check it out ruclips.net/video/C9LR5nJFzok/видео.html
@@naptimecreations thanks for your answer 🥺
So that means that i have to use latex or glue? And if i don't use it it won't work?
@@sasusakuuchiha1318no problem, you can still make them.
you only need glue or latex if you are doing a top coat of clear resin after your shakers are made.
@@naptimecreations okay thanksss
@@sasusakuuchiha1318 no problem, shakers are a lot of fun. They have some really cute shaker molds on etsy 🤗
how to use latex on resin table.
Thanks for watching, it would work the same way. Apply the liquid latex all over the bottom of the resin table 🤗💙

I use the same brand but just want to mention it stinks really really bad! Lol
Thanks for watching, they all stink IMO. 😅 Elmer's school glue works the same way. It doesn't stink.
