Woow Claire, I feel calm, collected, I feel like a better person after that video 😂😂😂. Absolutely amazing filming skills and instruction. Right, I'm off to have another bash!!!.... Slooowwwllllyyy! Namaste!
Gosh wish I had discovered the moulding latex as I do canvas tiles and there’s beading all the way around, I then have to use a heat gun and pallette knife to get them off but even then; I have to sand down to even out surface and it’s not perfect so I’ll use the latex on the edge and see how that helps, thank you ❤❤❤
These are stunning! I love using the liquid latex to protect the bottoms whilst doing a top layer, I also brush latex on the sides of my piece in case any resin drops off and decides to settle there.
Great video Claire, very beautiful and very informative. I watched it all the way through. I have a lot of catching up to do. I am new to the RUclips community, as well as Resin. I am a huge ResinCrete fan, and when it first came out here, in The US, I turned to your Jesmonite videos for guidance, you are brilliant, I adore your personality as well as your art. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Hello Claire I have just got the resin bug in the last couple of months and I am so impressed with your tutorials 👍👍 Absolutely fantastic and very very helpful. I am just about to order liquid latex from Amazon because a top coat would make my bloom coasters really pop. Thank you for all your time, effort and tips . You have shown me so very much in the last 24 hours. Thank you again .👍👍👌👌.
Claire, I have never topcoated a project before. Not because it didn't need it, but because I didn't know how to get a good result. Thank you so much for showing me how to do it. I love these coasters, and I am going to look for the video on how you made them. You are an amazing teacher ❤️
Thank you for this video! Your knowledge and also explaining where something goes wrong is what I love. I'm definitely going to get the latex. Thank you again, you're amazing 🥰

Thank you so much for sharing and showing your process. Great to know the reasons and background of sanding and topcoat! It was so relaxing to see how the topcoat revealed the flowers so clear and bright after sanding! Great job Claire, thanks xx
Another awesome and very informative video. I've watched so many videos to try to understand how to sand and top coat and I'm still confused. You made it very easy. Thank you. To prevent the Resin from running under I've seen some people use a doming mat. It seems to work. Haven't tried it yet though. Love the masking tape method you used on another video. Will most likely use that with the PVA glue. Thanks again for sharing.

I have studied a dozen videos on this subject and yours are the best because you show and explain detail all along. Wonderful. I notice that the sides are not attended to at all. Is there reason for that? than you
This was so helpful. I’ve watched several tutorials trying to find a technique that works for me. I’ve been trying to figure out how to mask off certain areas of work and liquid latex seems like a viable option. I’m excited to try it. Great video!
Heyyyy Talia .. honestly I absolutely love the liquid latex .. people also told me to try school glue PVA but right now I will use up my latex before I do that x
I just sanded and top-coated some pieces yesterday. This morning, they had a few dimples in them, and the mica powder made a circle of changed reflection around each one. So, I'm gonna do it again. This time, I won't use a torch. I think that plated a hand in it. Oh - and I still think those coasters are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
heyyy lovely .. yes I totally found the torch made dimples in these too .. which is why I thought it best to add a tad more resin .. it is so frustrating to wait and realise a top coat didn't go to plan ! xxx
Wow Claire! These came out super beautiful! I have to say, top coating is the way to go, but like you, I truly do not like top coating!!! heyyyy lovely - this is epoxy resin as a top coat yes. You can use most epoxy resins for top coating. Just not deep pour resins.
