the tyrannofex blank damage is when they are successfully wounded as thats when you allocate the hit, also tyranid mosters do bracket its below the weapon profiles on the card, also you mesure to base on kinghts as they are walkers
What a cracking game of monsters vs titans. It was very fun to watch and great to see the knights getting on the table. I have never seen them played and wow it was cool. What joy, with all these challenge the scorpion games we are seeing such cool unique army's and it's the best!
So with Lay Low the Tyrant, each knight can reroll A hit AND A wound per phase - doesn’t have to be a 1. Additionally, once you kill the enemy warlord, your knights only get the 5+++ feel no pain in your NEXT command phase (along with the 3CP). You don’t get them immediately
They're a very satisfying army when they're all painted up as they have so much detail... Also they're great for trying new painting techniques given how big the surfaces to paint are.
Mr Scorpion you made big gifts to the Knights: first you should have cursed Rotate Ion Shields with the Swarmlord and second, no move with it avoiding overwatch...and sometimes I think that the Knights didn't count the -1 for shooting into and out a melee, but not so many times... And I think that the Assimilator ability to resist on an objective is better than its doom on an enemy unit...
We did remember the -1's, but every one that was shooting was actually already damage bracketed and on a-1 already.. those rupture cannons when they get through are nasty! Also we had discussed the Swarmlord moving or not...the chance of getting a hit from O/W vs the potential damage it could do was pretty big so I'd say worth the risk unless the dice gods curse you 😅
I think after reviewing the Tyranid hit rolls, that would be quite better to choose Invasion Fleet and going for Lethal Hits vs Vehiclea and Monsters across the board. That's because the Rupture Cannons really don't need +1 to hit and wound and that's your only heavy shooting weapon. So I think about all those other small arms shots that would have wounded vs all those vehicles, ok? And another thing is that you could have had at least a FNP 5+ Stratagem at hand...I'm not sure but this Crusher Stampede is not so good imo...🤔
With most vehicles that's not an issue... But with knights it's potential for abuse is massive so I think the base is fair. The Lancer's shock lance is legit 8/9 inches long even before attached! Otherwise there's some odd charge and anti deep strike shenanigans you could pull that just feel really off.

One thing that doesn't really come across on RUclips is how much cover you now have in 40k. It's pretty rare nowadays not to get cover unless you're right next to a target if tables are laid properly.

@@4TL45_40K yeah the Acheron really is the least useful on paper... I've heard the play test for the new dex has it's flamer going up to AP -2 which would be perfect! I use it as a bit of a distraction carnifex at the moment as it's so fast.. but it needs a boost!

Tyranids monsters do get a -1 when they´re low. So in Crusher Stampede you´re back to your normal.
