Over 30 years in business, I've poured thousands of driveways. Watching them made me remember the days of using the come along, pulling your guts out, when the chute man piles it way too high. 100 degrees and it's blowing up on you faster than you can float it down. ugh! It's the only trade in construction that won't allow you to eat a normal lunch or more than a couple minutes to rehydrate. Many have tried, but few can handle the amount of physical work. I'm retired, living the good life now, but I'll never forget the sound of that drum tumbling and the concrete sliding down the chute!
ive worked for a while, and i know what you mean. ill never forget the sound of the truck coming on its way to the job site
Try being a UPS driver
the first time i walked in scaffolding i was 10 years old 12 meters height(39.37007874 feet) since then i work in constructions...driveway is my breakfast :)
Billy Smith lol my girls father is one.....he's been doing it for 27 years now....delivery driver jobs especially UPS ain't no joke....used to haul for a meat packing plant, ridiculous what those boxes weigh....have helped my friend who's a contractor pour concrete once....yeah after that, I think I'll stick to truck/delivery driving...both equally hard jobs nonetheless....but I love being behind the wheel and meeting new people and seeing my usual customers...I'm not the home construction type of guy.
it's honorable work and you cant think about the shitty miserable world around you when you are trying to get another breath in your lungs or your back hurts like hell. but that one cold beer takes it all away! . bless you!
Watching concrete being smoothed out is surprisedly satisfying.
I love hard work. I can sit and watch it all day.
+DwightMS1 LMAO! Oh the Irony...I'm surprised nobody has commented on that Gem of a comment yet...
I think the irony was intentional.
OU812 Yeah, it was intentional which is why it makes it so great!
DwightMS1 me too!! me too!! lol
And THAT is why it costs so much to put in a concrete driveway, there's a LOT of work and skill involved.
Nice job on the driveway and the video, and the music was a great choice.
there is something so peaceful about watching flatwork. It's like a concrete ballet!
very nice. not a word said between the 3 of ya. Thats how you know they have been at it for a long time.

This is the best concrete video on RUclips. All the fly by night concrete guys here need to watch this.
this is my daily bread and butter....I take my hat off to all concrete slayers world wide....it is back breaking, hard work,concentration,100% commitment ....ART
Looks like a very professional job. I don't even live in the same country or need a driveway done, but good to see craftsmen at work.
Wow your'll make it look like an art rather than just a Pavement work ...... WELL DONE Love the way you do your job : )
I worked masonry for 8 years from the age of 15 to 23. we dug foundations, set steel, poured slabs and everything else along with brick block and stone all in the Florida sun. A mason did it all back then. Can't say I miss those days. I still have all my tools and pour when I want to because I want to. I was really impressed how well you guys worked together and especially how well your guy worked the come a long. Nice edging and design work with the broom. Real pleasure to watch your video.
I'm getting ready to have a new concrete driveway installed, so it was really interesting to see how it's done.
These are men who clearly understand fluid dynamics, and that truly makes them worthy people.
man it seems that one guy does everything. he needs a big raise.
Nice try Bob, now get back to work Sciulli is looking for you.
tyler norton he did the grunt work. He's the boss now and gets to do the "easy" stuff.
It's nice to see a driver out helping with the concrete. It's spring time. Guess I'd better get a new pair . Good job guys
Nice job...shows you how a good experienced crew working together can take the "hard" out of work
Love the music! Cool video! Thanks for posting. I'm pouring a concrete ramp today butting up against my new Tuff Shed exit door.
Thanks, I really enjoyed watching.
These guys are good. I can't tell you enough how valuable it is to have a good eye for moving mud around like that, let alone the stamina.
I poured/finished many driveways and sidewalks in the Florida sun.
Im retired now, and I watch this and it brings back memories.
its a good job once uknow what your doing and you have a good team.. yes at times it is physically hard work.. but looking at the end result is a good feeling. and the cold beer afterwards tastes like heaven. 😉😉
I'll bet that was a very long day. These guys are bad ass.
Great to see people who work hard and do the job with such care and absolute professionalism.
That feels so fulfilling to watch it :D
Beautiful work guys that was a smooth job.
I have to admit, it put a big smile on my face when I saw you guys putting that white cure agent. Too many people don't understand the importance of curing concrete properly. Great job. You guys definitely knew what you were doing.
Here in Ireland we don't use that cos it's never drys out that fast to crack
+eamonn cooper do you use four leaf clovers
This is when you take pride in what you do. This isn't the typical team. Great job.
I am glad we have front end dis charges here!!! haven't seen a rear in awile unless its remote controlled
Now that is an awesome Driver!!!
Thanks for the knowledge! Great video.
Yall guys are pro, some legit work right there I must say
Enjoyed the video very much, have no need for concrete work but now I have a better understanding of how its done. Definitely going to use a pro like Sciulli in the future if I need work done.
A good concrete placer is worth his weight in Gold. You guy's ARE GOOD.
Darryl Kennedy that concrete is equally worth it's weight in gold...Literally....I prefer slag, it's cheap, and I CAN DO IT MUHSELF.
The Swamp Fox that's what she said
you guys are truly the real deal rally helpful vids do show some more in the future pls
now THIS is art. i could watch this for hours.
Bloody brilliant lads, well done on a great job.
I love hard work... I could watch it all day

Uphill no less. Those guys did an excellent job!
Great demonstration. Nice work.
I love the tidbits of info you can pickup on youtube.
That looked so easy!
Great Job Sciulli ! Excelent Finish product.
These doods have amazing strength and stamina even though they got beer bellies. I'm very impressed!
if you're not wheelbarrowing it over rough terrain or shoveling/shoving thick concrete over massive distances, then calling concrete hard work is a RIDICULOUS JOKE.
You are a complete stooge if you think concrete work isn't hard. YOU wouldn't make it through 1 damn day on the job.
kreteman777
Just poured 15.5 yards of 4.5" slump today with one helper. 20 feet of sidewalk and 30 lineal feet of driveway. Had to fill up 6x 8" tubes with concrete and finish around all of them. Coarse aggregate mix. weather at 75-85 degrees with significant winds. Concrete was mostly unshaded.
Oh. and 4 hours of sleep. Was very unpleasant, mind you.
Your point being?

You guys earn every penny. 👍🏼👍🏼
SILVI CONCRETE BAPS POUR - DOCUMENTARY
Awesome concrete video
Top job lads..as always preparation not perspiration is the key
that's an extremely nice mix that driver whipped up! not too stiff yet it wasn't so wet that I would think the concrete would be weakened. very good job!
Thanks for sharing...we are building a house now and this will be very useful. Hi from Bulgaria :))
Very nice jobs guys
Beautiful work!.
Hats off to you guys
great work!
so satisfying to watch
Nice work very clean ✍🏽👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So, how does the truck get out?
Great video, good job guys 👍
Outstanding display of your craft, skill and attention to detail. Well done gentlemen.
Awesome. All I need now is a driveway.
nice job on this! me and my dad are attempting to do the driveway ourselves and so i'm doing a lot of research first. thanks for the videos it's really helpful.
please don't attempt it mimi
oh it's done, it was hard ass work. the guys pouring the concrete prob felt sorry for my ass so they helped us out and we paid them extra. XD turned out pretty good. :D
otimo trabalho bons pedreiros caprichosos mesmo nota dez!
Pretty cool the way they make the driveway
Everything Used Big is smart, really like the roller to get the cream up.
ha, great music and nice work....
Awesome job!
That's Clean! Nice
well done i love seeing cement poured
This is back breaking work and mentally straining as well. Literally the only work that I hired out for was having my basement floor poured. Awesome job here
These guys are good. I didn't see any big problems in how they work.
Good video
The last process at the finishing stage of concrete is an application of a white epoxy curing agent. It slows the curing process which enables its strength, durability, and retains its moisture contents for a good duration period. It cures at a slower rate. Once you wait 12-24 hours, you then apply with a water hose a slow even mist of water onto the concrete about 3 times a day for about 5 mins (breakfast, lunch, dinner lets say, for 3 days day after the pour on mon, wed, fri) and yet therefore it gives the concrete the right amount of time to harden developing a sufficient curing stage, allowing it to breath, expel and retain air and heat and contain its moisture density upon graduating to its full development process of a concrete compound to fully cure. (28-30 days curing)
Good job, looks nice
Looks like a fun job!
that sure is a long driveway and a lot of concrete! great job!
That's not a lot of concrete. that's actually small. It's a shame it took them more than one pour to finish it. Time is money.
redd1911 it was only 2 guys that's fine workmanship
redd1911 You can only load 10 cubic yds on a concrete mixer. That driveway took more than 10 yds
Good Video. You have convinced me there is no way I can do this myself. I better hire a pro.
Excelente trabajo, los felicito, un trabajo de primera, saludos desde Maracaibo Venezuela
EXCELLENT WORK
very nice work fellas!
Very nice job, that's a good days work ;)
I kinda thought the steel mesh was supposed to be in the middle of the mix. Awesome work. I watched it again at 2X speed. LOL
+todd baker Yes it is supposed to be. You are supposed to lift it up during pouring with a hooked rod, and it will stay in place. As the concrete (although wet) will keep it in place.
nice job guys, looks good.
TREDS appreciates your business!
Good job. Thnx for sharing
WOW. This is interesting. I need to add another parking concrete slab to my drive way. I don't like parking my truck on the grass anymore, especially when my other 2 vehicles are taking up the drive way and when it rains..lol
TEAM WORK..SKILLS..EXPERIENCE... makes every job look easy- ITS GRUNTWORK and will give a normal man a coronary
Well done!
Nice job guys.
theres no words!
What is up with the guy with the new boots !!!!!! and just want to say that you guys rock and you spread the concrete like creme cheese !!!!!! amazing
great job!!
Nice work. What product was used to seal the concrete? If this was in an area
where it freezes, would you use a fiber based concrete with a special additive?
Muy profesional excelente :D
Can't believe I watched the whole thing.
muito bom trabalho
good work.
I use this for instruction with my students.
