I just bought a brand new 2023 Honda Civic Touring two weeks ago, so this walkthrough was super helpful. I’ve been driving an ‘02 Civic LX (all analog) for 18 years, so lots to learn on this new Civic. I’ve been watching a bunch of these 2022 Civic videos and YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE who addressed those three buttons on the bottom left of the dash (parking sensors, etc.)! So thank you for that. 😊 I got this exact color combo (meteorite metallic gray with ivory seats). I think it’s gorgeous. Honda makes a fantastic car and I’m super happy with it. 🥳 (Even better, I was able to pay cash, so NO CAR PAYMENTS! Yay! 🥳)
Great video I just bought the Honda Civic Touring 2022 in Blue a few weeks ago. The car has been amazing to drive and I love all the features that come with the car.
Thanks Justin, awesome video and love the new “Adult” 2022 Honda Civic Touring especially in the Meteorite Grey Metallic so, I ordered one in September exact same car you featured in this video except I got black interior instead! It’s built and being delivered to Howdy Honda Austin Tx December 30!
Thanks for this video. I’m debating to whether go either EX or this Touring but leaning more to this Touring because of the awesome features it comes with
@@anonymousguy6928 I actually got an Accord Sport 2.0T now. The dealer had the Civic Touring in black but it was already sold so I can’t turn the Sport down
What’s the reliability of the 1.5 turbo over time? Oil dilution and carbon buildup? I like the look inside and out but I’m a audiophile. I like nice speakers. You can only get the Bose stereo on the touring so far but that has the 1.5 turbo. I’d rather have the 2.0 NA with the Bose stereo. What to do?
The issue with 2018 through 2021 Honda's that have 1.5L Turbo is Oil Dilution. Next, the 2022 1.5L Turbo has Vtec and an increase of 6HP as 10th Gen Civics have 174HP and the 11th Gen is 180HP. Only the Touring trim has a bit of noise deadening/ noise reduction whereas Honda let the other Civic trims stay noisier. For those wanting less stuff for a lesser cost, minus or excluded items as mentioned in this video, the EX trim is well worth considering. If you live in a Cold and WIntery environment you will want to dump those Goodyear Eagle Sport AS for some premium Snow tires unless you like to spin out of control and crash with the Goodyear Eagle Sport AS mediocre subpar tires which are only good on dry surfaces. Scream at Honda for not giving us excellent All-Season tires so you would not have to spend another $1K on tires. Have you honked the horn ? ... a baby's cry is louder and other drivers will not hear it with their windows rolled down. Get a louder horn to replace the wimpy I can't hear you horn. No seat lumbar support is one of the most complaints. So go with a Mazda 3 for the best driving experience or Toyota Corolla for the highest reliability. Honda Civic Touring interior looks great but I believe Honda forgot to improve the mechanical parts of the car. Civic sway bar is made of Plastic. For real go check it out. Okay, just install more airbags to protect the people, more defective and inoperable safety features, and make it very loud but with a Bose sound system to cancel out the noise. The front-end chassis has been redesigned using Aluminum instead of steel. Hope those airbags work! Honda Civic should get together with KIA Forte for the best car not to get into an accident with. KIA equals Killed In Action. Honda Civic hits you with a lot of air pillows.
Thank you so much for the great explanation, you are amazing Do you know by chance why they stopped the interior ambiant light accessories for the last generation Civic
The LKAS on the touring model works differently than any other Honda it works from 1 MPH and above not just at 45 MPH and above. That is what traffic jam assist is! I traded my 2018 Accord EX for the 22 Civic Touring and no regrets. It is the best car Honda has in the lineup now.
Excellent video! Very thorough. Just discovered your channel and love it! I’m looking at both the Civic and the Insight, and this helped see the differences between the 2021 and 2022 CIVIC models. Any chance of you doing the same for the 2022 and 2021 Insight Touring? Thanks again!
On the "What you lose going Down to the EX" (7:35) - don't you also lose heated rear seats? Isn't a better comparison to compare it to dropping to an EX-L? Do they still offer that model in the 11th Gen?
I want the touring but I want the sport model black wheels. Can order those wheels on the side? Should I be worried of mechanical problems or differences in driving?
I work for Honda in the service department. We swap out wheels on new car purchases all the time. As long as the wheels are the same size or smaller we charge $0.00. Request it and they should do it immediately. If you notice that the person in charge doesn't want to do it or wants to charge you go to another Honda dealership. This is a common request that takes less then 30min
@@cindymiller2748 thank you! My dealership is Bianci Honda of Erie which is the only one closest to me anyway. Ive not had any problems with them in the past so this shouldn’t be a problem

We test drove the sport this weekend in Minneapolis, MN. The outside looked sharp, the inside seemed cheap, and those seats are absolute 🗑 trash lol. It was like sitting on cardboard with a thin bed of dollar store yellow foam.
There is definitely some cost cutting on the lower trims, the half analog/ half digital gauge cluster seems super cheap. And the touring needs better upgraded seats to get even close to justifying the cost.
@@samsmith3025 There is nothing wrong with the seats on the touring, I find them very comfortable. Much nicer than the seats in my '19 . I guess if you're 350lbs most seats are going to suck.
