As someone who has been concerned for years with texture, I truly appreciated this tutorial. I thought Brittany's skin was great before you started and I couldn't see any texture. But now she is "perfection". Going to try some of your tips. Thanks to you and to Brittany for sharing.

Loved this! Loved the bf energy between you two, as well! I would really enjoy a 'next step' video on her textured skin- contour/bronzer, blush, and highlight placement...as our face shape is so similar, that would be incredibly helpful. Love your style, as always! Thanks so much for this one, extremely appreciated! ❤

Nikki, a lot of us are novices and learn from watching experts like you! Would LOVE for you to do makeup on a friend (who is also a novice) using her own makeup and makeup tools. Challenge is for you create a look using hodge podge/random makeup from someone else’s bag. There has to be others out there, like me, who keep hanging onto random makeup with no clue on how to use them. 😝

Hi Britney! You two are so sweet together! I love women supporting and rooting for other females! You both are just beautiful. I also have textured, oily skin that sometimes i just want to spend the time to improve the look of, and sometimes I don’t give a damn and many times throw on my mascara, SPF, brow powder, little color on cheeks and feel great that way too.
Having options and knowing how to best use the tools available to us is your point and it definitely was made clear that was the purpose of this episode. LOVE IT!
    Thanks Nikki! Great info!❤️😘

@@Makeupbynikkilarose I know this probably such a weirdo thing to say, but I totally feel like we would be real life pals! In the same line of work (i own a professional pet care company too), and feel like we have a similar type personality (just from getting to know you through YT, I know i don’t know you IRL so that makes this so lame to even be saying), and you are just a joy to watch and learn from.
I always tell other artists, when you stop learning, asking questions and taking constructive feedback, and decide you already know it all, thats the best you will ever be at anything you do. I get really disappointed when other artists, sales associates, whoever dismiss clients when they are open and share what they do and i try and explain why to never do that (unless it could cause them harm in some way). Working in the industry over 20 years I have picked up some killer tricks from clients!
You are down to earth, a talented educator and sofa king stunning. Always eagerly waiting to see what you have in your bag of tricks to share next! Thanks for all you do! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was here for Brittany's first appearance and I LOVED it!! I upped the resolution and still could only barely see any "texture" (girl, everyone has pores!!). Brittany has beautiful skin!! Thank you for the tips and techniques though, I will definitely be trying these out! Can you recommend another foundation and powder that would give a similar effect? Unfortunately, the Dior and Givenchy are not within my budget right now. Thank you so much! ❤️

Love that you’ve been here watching my channel that long! How amazing thank you!!!!! And absolutely, look for any foundations that have more of a satin / matte finish. Does not have to be high end like I used the take always are more so the techniques with blending and application that actually matter the most. But for powder I do suggest higher end to be honest. If you want something more affordable (can’t blame you) I suggest trying the mini loose powders from Huda beauty they are affordable and GORGEOUS on the skin!

This was really helpful! Brittany has the same skin type, shade, and undertone that I do. I think I have a little more texture lol because hers was not really noticeable at all. I especially liked watching how you went over the area in between the eyebrows, because I have a ton of little bumps there and every time after I'm done, I can see tiny little holes in the foundation lol. I would normally just kinda try to press some powder over it to fill in the holes, which kinda worked, but never looked quite right. I think it's because I was just kind of swirling a foundation brush around my face in circular motions and wasn't really pressing it in. Thank you for the tutorial!
As a side note, I'd also been debating between two different shades in the same NARS matte foundation you used on her (both in my loves list on Sephora), and now that I"ve seen it, I think creme brulee is also my best match

Just found you and a new subscriber. I can relate to the oily combination skin problems so much. I feel like I have the worst type of skin which includes large, pores, acne, prone, combination to oily/sensitive skin and now I’m in my 40s, so I’m fighting fine lines and wrinkles as well. Do you have anything for all of that?! Lol 😂 i’m a mess! Any tips on skin care products to go on before make up would be helpful as well. Not sure if you’ve already done those videos or not I was trying to see if I could find one on that. And also can relate to the oily skin problem as my make up just slides right off!!! 😩 I been watching your videos on make up for oily skin. Keep up the good work. I am looking forward to the mature skin video. I am 58 and struggle with cracks in the makeup in my marionette lines. I hope you have some magic for me!

Loved this video! I have a best friend named Brittany with beautiful eyes too! 🤗 This video was so helpful! I have textured and red skin that I struggle with too! I wish you would have gone even further and showed tips to contour as well. I always feel like my contour bleeds because of my redness BUT I will try this (I just watched your contour video too) and go from there. Maybe it’ll alleviate that problem for me as well! I just discovered your channel and have been binging it! Love all your content!! 💕🫶🏼

Love this vid!! Do you have a video on how to avoid glasses marks when wearing makeup?

Now I want to see this with skincare/sunscreen underneath.
