    Tarantino is like a walking encyclopaedia. It's so nice to see a man who absolutely loves what he does and isn't afraid to show it.

    Tarantino will never be out of touch. He is the best writer Hollywood has. His stories are completely unique and engaging. The Hateful Eight was amazing and the cast was stunning. Groggins was hilarious in his performance and Leigh was utterly convincing. The whole cast was just superb. I hope Tarantino makes 10 more films it will be a sad day when his voice is silenced in cinema.

      I think he's too good at looking at life and it's intricate branches, to lose touch. David Chase wrote Sopranos when he was ancient, and that wasnt just "in touch", it pretty much changed TV drama FOREVER, is still unsurpassed, and didn't just gel with modern audiences, it changed culture itself. Tarantino is another Chase.

    • @dennisreynolds1341
      @dennisreynolds1341 9 лет назад +2

      Andre Moore Oh NOOOO! How could I possibly have called a Tarantino film "shit", lord have mercy! Oh wait, it was shit. Just because Tarantino's name is on it doesn't give it any special treatment. If that film had another directors name tagged to it replacing Quentin's but was the exact same film ... it wouldn't have relieved as much praise. Django was a terrible fucking movie, but I loved Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2. Reservoir Dogs. Death Proof. Basically all of his films except for Django.
      Now. The Hateful Eight looks like it's going to be a fantastic movie, more than what Django will ever be and I don't give a fuck about popular opinion. The Hateful Eight has a great cast, (not Jaime Foxx), it has a SCORE finally and by Ennio Morricone too! Also looks to be a great plot and setting. Hopefully it's well paced. I also have no doubts on the cinematography.

    • @dennisreynolds1341
      @dennisreynolds1341 9 лет назад +1

      ***** Sure, that's fair. I honestly can never be bothered writing out my reasons since it's RUclips. I'll just give the basics. I thought the pacing was bad. There was a point when I thought the film would end but then it just kept going for another 30 minutes or more, dragging on. I think for the most part it was enjoyable but the dragging on, Jaime Foxx, I guess it got to me. Some scenes also felt unnecessary. I think most of it is people claiming it to be a masterpiece when it's clearly not. Like I've said, if another director had directed it but every bit of it was exactly the same, it wouldn't have received much praise. It's just Quentin's name, that's all I think it is.
      Regardless of Django, I think The Hateful Eight is something I am going to enjoy and call a masterpiece, in the end. A true score done by Ennio Morricone. A great cast of actors. An interesting story and setting. Plus shooting on 70mm I mean, fuck yeah.

Some people cheat and try to find out what their gifts are before Christmas morning ruining the surprise. I think the anticipation is part of the fun. I can't wait to see this movie.

  • @atticmichael

    As much as I love Quentin, his thing about Television in Public is god damn ridiculous! I completely understand the appeal of shooting film and I understand the appeal of film projection... but to say that digital projection is a straight up waste of time and is like watching HBO in public is just pure pointless nostalgia. I'm still watching the same freaking movie after all. And last time I watched Django Unchained, in digital, it was still as good. I don't understand how someone like Quentin, who understands the power of writing, of character, etc., can still think that such a vain thing matter...

Unfortunately I didn't know of him until django but as soon as he showed up in the hateful eight I KNEW it was him! I really hope to see him star in many MORE movies in the future. And the SAME goes for Christoph Waltz! Also THANKS to Tarantino, Jennifer Jason Leigh, FINALLY got the nod she's always deserved bc she's been around for years but never got great roles like daisy UNTIL NOW. She even said herself she was about to end her acting career bc of it. She's a testament to " NEVER giving up bc you NEVER know what's right around the corner for you!! " 😉

    This film ROCKED! It was just raw enough to make me realize how anti Hollywood Tarantino really is.Kind or reminded me of the feeling I got from watching Altman's 70's flicks or Cassevetes 70's flicks as far as their renegade approach to film making. Total commitment to one's vision. That is what makes Tarantino- what he is.

It's upsetting to even think about Tarantino quitting writing and directing his own movies. And I absolutely LOVE the fact he casts the most deserving UNDERRATED actors out there. He's a god and such a blessing to the film industry!! The only bad thing I can say is the female actors he casts are seriously lacking-aside from JJL and Kerry Washington!

    I would of ask Kurt Russel or Micheal Madison to quote a movie scene. I think that would've be awesome to hear.

    I'm a fan of Quentin's and liked Hateful Eight. But kinda (not) funny that they spoke of "protecting history" with the lenses but managed to destroy a PRICELESS Martin guitar in the movie.

    Loved the way QT basically cut the guy off on mic from his "big ego chat" with just QT and basically introduced the rest of the cast! Then stared up at mic guy as if to say stop trying hog the show n get these amazing actors on dude! We've done hundreds of press panels n PR for this movie dude so get the fuck on with it!🤣
