EMF Audio did a great video showing exactly how much the K9 12 could take. About 700rms clamped. It would be nice if you did a similar video with the Destroyer Subwoofer. My guess is it can take about 1200-1300RMS Clamped all day!
I think all there subs are decent...its sad that they still have whatever the issues are with the subs..fix em.make em like they should be and they will kill the budget world of woofers with the k9 and k6...id love to know what the real issue is with these woofers..
I thought crapvilke only made destroyers in 12inch those are the only woofer I would buy from that company because I like there look but I doubt it can handle the rms they say I can handle remember they claimed the k9 could handle power it was rated at it couldn't which was proven by a few people i do the there db series amps tho best amps they make
I smoked one putting 2000w rms clean unclipped power to nee. And it started smoking. The engineer says I blew it because I tuned my subsonic filter to the sub and not the box. But that sounds like bs to me
If you smoked it on a 2k amp then you were clipping it to death . I've been running mine for 2 months clamped 1700-2100 , and that's REAL clamped power , not rated power
How long u think the destroyed can go on clean unclipped 4000. I know its for burps. But judt wondering. I for one try to match max power sub with a amp and turn gain n bass boost down.im probably wrong on that.
Hell yea , clean power no problem. Clip anything and it will die . Gonna put my 15 on a bc5500 and see what power it gets , I have it on a ds18 pro spl 3.5k right now , also have a taramps smart 3 to try
mazda2284 also I have a box for my 2 12 svc 4 ohms with two terminals so they’re separate chambers can I wire them on the outside of the box without drilling a hole like connect speaker wire from positive to positive terminals then to positive on amp and same with negative? The subs are wired to the terminals separately
Awesome nice score ppl can trash rockville all they want but for the price best bang for buck out point blank.....n if the coils burn up just go by another 1 lolol go ROCKVILLE!!!##??
Hey bro. jjbled from facebook. How would you improve the destroyer. Im still tinkering with my 8" solos going turn em into round. And my pa mofo with 4 inch d2 coil. I want turn pa into d1. And improve the subs air sweeping ability. Need ya guidance
also not sure where this comment went from you ? "I thought crapvilke only made destroyers in 12inch those are the only woofer I would buy from that company because I like there look but I doubt it can handle the rms they say '' this sub has been run daily on the rated 2k rms for quite awhile now and does great . does good numbers also .
Nvx would win Rockville name was destroyed over the pass year by there own employees not knowing wtf they were talking about throwing cea rated in front of everything doesn't mean ur products can handle the power which was proven by multiple people the k9s are garbage let's hope the destroyer is actually a decent woofer cuz they don't have anything else going for them other then there db series amplifiers
Rockville k9 is a weak over rated sub not worth the time and money cant even handle the rated rms power for 1 minute and that's the v1 and v2 hopefully the destroyer will be better but I doubt it
Yes sir sorry wasn't talking about your video but just rockvill in general I had a Rockville k9 version 2 rated at 1000w rms and 1500 peak it wont take its rms rated for 1 minute and it smoked. But your cis are awesome
@@mazda2284 We saw you burp it for a second with 1200 watts, there are tons of much less expensive subs that will do this well. The point of a $300 subwoofer is build quality, the ability to take rated power for extended amounts of time. This subwoofer will not likely take 2K for long, not even an entire song perhaps. I think it has to do with the way the motor isn't vented properly. It's a nice looking sub, it seems durable, but others have shown it not to be.
Finally!! Glad to hear someone else's opinion on the destroyer besides my own.
It would be nice to see you of you guys try 2000 rms clamped on it..but it would be nice to see how it handles 1000, 1200,1500 clamped first!
Awesome subs! Arent these the ones Parker has in his SUV? 6 of them on the Taramps 12,000 watt amp?!?
Audiopipe in parkers
Solid video keep them coming
NICE VID BRO!!!

I'll be testing more power 😉
I believe emf clamped 832watts rms on the k9..
@@MyBlowncobra I thought it blew at 800watts. Stable at 600 watts. i just finished watching the vid lol

So Mazda2284, Would you say you're endorsing this sub and can confirm it will truly handle 2000rms?

Check out my newest video
You can't compare a MTX 8500 that came out in 2003 to today subwoofers smh
Agree MTX was badass back in those years and then they came out WITH the RFL 15 DAMN THAT SUB WAS A BEAST
The mtx 2003 9500s will out do or hang with alot of the newer subs
Would you happen to know if the pioneer PRS-D3000spl is good? And good enough for 800 watts rms at 2 ohm?
should do around that , and yea they are good amps
mazda2284 also I have a box for my 2 12 svc 4 ohms with two terminals so they’re separate chambers can I wire them on the outside of the box without drilling a hole like connect speaker wire from positive to positive terminals then to positive on amp and same with negative? A bruh that 15 Destroyer looks like it's the business.
That destroyer actually looks decent. whats the rms on it? 2000?
Lol i think its what the k9 was supposed to be hahahah
K9 is like a 400 rms sub... Nothing more
Rated 2000RMS
Ide only.put 900 on the destroyer
Single 15 in that big suv getting 146+ is good
What’s the difference between the destroyer d12 d1 and d12 d2??
D1 coils can take more current than a d2 coil , also wire down lower ohm and get more power to the sub . I always get the lowest ohm possible.
Awesome nice score ppl can trash rockville all they want but for the price best bang for buck out point blank.....n if the coils burn up just go by another 1 lolol go ROCKVILLE!!!##??
Sorry my two cents lol
I just subbed to ypur ch can you support and subscribe to mine brother...
Lol nah rockville is NOT the best bang for your buck. At the price point you're better off getting a BDC3 or HDS2.1

why not ? anyone can compare anything .
