That "be that list" is such a great twist and an honest advice to apply tbh. Because you simply can't demand something from someone if you aren't capable of delivering the same thing. And if "you are" that list, then the process of dating gets easier because you get to save your energy.

Hey dear can we had a little bit word together if you don't mind..?
"Find someone who loves you more than you love them." Here is my perspective; if you know you're generally the type to prioritize your partner's needs and have this nurturing personality towards your lover but these same things were hardly reciprocated in your past relationships then I honestly see where this advice may come in handy.. I mean everyone deserves to experience the positive things they contribute in their relationship be reciprocated. It's like hey I am a passionate lover, natural giver but it will be great to find someone who loves me more than I love them, so I do not "overdo" things in my relationship.
I think you've just described a person who either needs to be by themselves or they need to go through therapy because they are not ready for a serious relationship. You confirmed this by stating they have hang ups from a previous bad relationship. They haven't healed and all the person you are describing is doing is taking their trauma into another relationship.
the first instinct should always be to love .....! to put the other first..! if you'll think through everything...... I don't think that person would ever knock your door....! I've had bad experiences....., but i didn't leave my ability behind.

Mine would be; Love yourself enough to have a defined relationship with the person you want. Make sure there's an alignment to vision and set your priorities right. You both should also be ready to put in work.

I am with handsome man, generous, supportive, loyal, honest , rich and he propose to me at age 30 yrs old. At first i didnt fancy him ( didnt like him) but as time passed by. I start loving him . So much so that were finally married. And he spoils me lots just like how i spoil him

Its kinda good one because those are the people who'll never leave you, will try understanding you better atleast. There are 1 in a million chances that two people love each other equally. So if you gonna find someone you love more , you will easily be manipulated in the future.

Yes, that was the worst relationship advice. My ex boyfriend never made me feel loved because he never loved me inreal. He was with me just because I loved him, not because he feels for me. It was his first relationship, and one day I had asked him that why we are together ? He said that he have heard somewhere that "Be with someone who loves you, not with someone whom you love." That killed me from inside and outside.

@@Carlojean-ux7ni He was a narsisstic and it's a mental disorder, he had manipulated me, guilt tripping, gave me silent treatment, used to gaslight and one day I found out that he was cheating on me with my cousin whom once I considered my best friend. Now, I have been cut off with both of them.

The first one actually applies to men, because men are incapable of growing to love a woman, they do or they dont, nothing in between. But a woman can grow to love a man, thats why its important for women to make sure he likes het more than she likes him. Its literally life saving for the woman, because a man you love more will annihilate you especially if youre self sacrificing. Ive seen it time and time again and my mother almost lost her life over loving my father too much.

If I wish a person to have some habits or qualities, I adopt that habits and build myself according to that.
Do onto others what you want them to do onto you. Is like give and take. If you don't show yourself as an example of something good, you can't expect the other person to do the same.
My mother told me back then, find someone who loves you more than you love him. Maybe that has subconsciosly stayed in my mind.. Because I have been very sad and unhappy since as a teen, and it’s getting worse every ear. My previous relationships were very toxic. Now 23 soon 24 and I thought that I found the love of my life.. Kind way this is toxic too because my man got mental issues but he’s more suicidal. He’s trying genuesly best that he can to meet my needs. But I’m so broken because Im scared of him, being with him and I feel like emotionally abandoned because these no room for my feelings. I have developed a fake smile at home as it was long previosly at everywhere else.

I don't agree with the worst advice. I think it's okay if you be with someone who loves you more than you love them. Love doesn't happen in a single day, it's a slow process, sometimes you fall in love almost immediately, sometimes it takes you months and probably years.
Thats true it took me months to love my husband to see his worth and he never gave up on me cus he love so much and i thank him for that. We are happily marriage now.

Relationships I'd say is the worst thing someone can do to themselves. It's heart breaking and at the end there was nothing special about it. Because they'll turn around and find another person and you meant nothing. Everything you went through with that person good and bad meant nothing.

Heard the first one many times before.
I think I realized though, for myself at least, I’ll do more my part if I’m into the person as well. If I found someone who is into me more than I’m into them, I feel I would let the person do the relationship work more of the time because I’d have little relationship motivation. I think I see the appeal to have someone do that work. I’m sure love can be grown over time for people with one person gaining a persons love through affection and acts of kindness but I prefer a mutual more equal relationship in the beginning. Id have reassurance for myself that the motivation to be with that person and love for the other person wouldn’t be called into question.

Here's one from my side (I mean I read it somewhere lol): A good relationship is never 50-50. It's always 60-40 where both the partners try to give in the 60.
