Samantha Jane I switch it up. Neutral for work...sometimes I pull out all the stops and go crazy! I am part of a bellydance troupe, so looking like I took a star and rubbed it all over my face is admissible on stage...or at work, depends on the day 🤣
Samantha Jane thank you for this video. I have textured skin so I don’t wear crazy highlighter but I do like the look of it. I think I want to try Fenty for sure ☺️
Another is the Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick in Champagne Flash! I like to warm it with my fingers and apply it before I add a light layer of foundation. It does have a bit of sparkle particles, but it's not noticeable. It just gives you the most gorgeous and healthy glow from within look. MY FAVE. 💜 For reference I am an NC42 as well!
Hi Samantha, I've really appreciated your tutorial because it was exactly was I was looking for... the most natural highlighter for a textured skin (mine). I do totally agree with you regarding powder highliters, generally they don't look natural. Same thought about stick....you run the risk to move the foundation underneath. I've tried even a kind of liquid highliter, the famous BEAUTY LIGHT WAND SPOTLIGHT by Charlotte Tilbury and in my opinion it's sticky and doesn't blend and melt well with the base and this is generally true for the liquid highliters. The best option (that I experienced the first time with Huda Beauty Tantour Contur and Bronzer Cream in Tan) are the so called cream to powder products (well, they are certainly creamy, but don't turn for sure into powder... on the contrary the blend wonderfully with the base, a total different story). In this category falls in Fenty Beauty Highlighter and I've picked up in Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal (my undertone is clearly cool) and for a natural of course I've used only Lighiting Dust. It has an amazing natural light with a tiny, subtle shimmer that is simply gorgeous, absolutely no texture and it's easy to blend and apply. And I think that you agree with me, because while you said you used the liquid highliters for special events... your Fenty Beauty Highilter is defenetely gone... and for a good reason. So, thanks again for sharing such useful and honest insights.
Ohhh love some of your choices!! I also love the Pixi gossamer duo... perfect highlight for textured skin and two shades in each option (2 options I think).❤️😘😘
You must try to get your hands on the Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette! ❤️❤️ I use it every time I do my makeup, even under other highlighters! It is perfect for a super smooth natural glow. I have even bought a couple backups just in case! 😘
Highlighters without glitter ? Posts products in description box? Doesn’t have an annoying , high pitch voice? Has a dope Personality? Yaaaaaassssss subscribed 💜💜 the way you talk kinda reminds me of juicyjas, and I love her so it’s a compliment 🥰🥰🥰
The Wet n Wild bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana makes a great natural highlight on tanned skin. I’ve been using this for almost 10 years although sadly, I think it’s now been discontinued. I have so many back ups though because it’s great. I also really like the Note Cosmetics Terracotta powders in 01 Stardust and 02 Honey Warm. None of these emphasise texture.
I recently discovered the essence highlighter and I’m a shade lighter than your skin tone and it works so perfectly as a finishing blurring powder for me! (Dupe alert for the hourglass powders!) I lightly buff it into my skin and it gives the most gorgeous soft blur glow to my skin. Do try it out and see if it works for you! P.s. I always spray my Mac fix + to set it and that adds some extra hydration for my combo skin. Also, your makeup in this video is so beautiful! Whenever you wear a lippie shade like this it totally brightens up your face! You look fantastic ❤️
NIOD is a superb brand! Love to hear it mentioned! What is your yellow eyeshadow? I love it and it's so hard to find a good yellow. Oh and, I am dating myself here, but is that an old Knowing perfume behind you? I'm sure it's not, it just looks just like it.
You're the only RUclipsr that pronounces Kevyn Aucoin's name correctly. I'm guessing cuz you're Canadian and have French more incorporated in your education?
Are you a more natural highlighter or beaming?! I like to switch it up, but never glitter!!

Natural but I do like beaming highlighters on my nose.
Samantha Jane thank you for this video. I have textured skin so I don’t wear crazy highlighter but I do like the look of it. I think I want to try Fenty for sure ☺️
Definitely natural unless it’s a night out which calls for a little extra!
Samantha Jane bean beam and more beam 🌟
Finally found a youtuber looks like my skin!!!! Love it!

the yellow eye look is here to stay!!💛💛
The Flesh beauty highlight balm is a stick and it's wonderful. Very Dewey and natural on my aging skin. It makes me like highlight !
What a great video idea, this is SO helpful 👍🏾😉. I'm going to check out the Catrice drops now 😍. I like more natural looking highlights.
Rodeo drive is the only highlighter I’ve used all the way up but I love my Charlotte Tilbury now and I’ll definitely use it all up

Thanks Colourpop, everything I'm wearing is listed in the description :) It's YSL perfume, perhaps inspired by!!
Love nudestix highlight and essence! Have you tried the Physicians Formula stick highlight from their organic line?
Not yet!
So now this makes me curious, what's your favorite products that aren't highlighters but you use as highlighters!
Ive got a whole video on eyeshadows that make great highlights 😊
I don't have particularly textured skin on my cheekbones but I just prefer more "glow" and less "sparkle".
Yesss me too!!
😍😍😍

Fenty beauty highlighter (I have a golden one-killer wife?! Trophy wife lol) is awful......you can see individual glitter particles
No glitter in this one :)
