    When off of the gun, and in the open position, the stock becomes very loose with up and down wobble. But when on the gun it’s non existent. Before dissasembly I didn’t have the wobble. Any suggestions? Also, how do you tighten using the release lever? I see it has teeth but no idea on how to tighten.

    Thank you very much for this video. I have a retractable stock for my G3 clone (Bundeswehr surplus, so probably original H&K production or an identical copy by a subcontractor) it appears to be the exact same design) and I was wondering how it works internally and this video demonstrated it perfectly!
    As for the final step of turning the ratchet teeth, I think you are supposed to push in the small spring loaded catch under the release lever into the ratchet teeth and then use the main release lever to turn them. I'm not 100% sure I've understood what this does, but I think it's tightening the mechanism somehow?

      @Close_Up  5 лет назад +2

      TheBigOne0305 yes! It tightens the lock, also the stock become more tight, not loose up an down.

      TheBigOne0305 when it comes to the lever at the back, You might be right. Just tryed it and its much easyer 😊

    My stock kind of sags down when in the open position, any idea how to fix this issue?

    • @Close_Up
      @Close_Up  3 года назад +1

      You can tighten the stock so its more straight on open position on the relise lever. But all HK MP5A3 stock shall have some up and down wobble, not alot but some.

    The wire diameter of the inside torsion spring

  • @VKamp276
    @VKamp276 2 года назад

    You probably won’t see this. But my stock for some reason lost tension in the lever. So when I open and close it I have to manually lock it and unlock it. It will also wiggle and unlock and lock itself if you shake it. How do I fix this?

    • @Close_Up
      @Close_Up  2 года назад +2

      You would need to open up the stock, see of the spring is broken inside, thats a very important part of the stock so it keeps locked and so it stays locket both open or closed.

    Is this a original HK stock? or one of the after market ones like ati or pof?

    • @Close_Up
      @Close_Up  5 лет назад +1

      MrTadashiSan this is original H&K MP5 stock. The POF has much larger stock at the back, also much shiny black color, like its painted, cheap finish.
      H&K is black but not shiny black, also its a bit of two toned color, like gray at the locking mecanism.
      This stock has german markings

    Any idea where i can get a clamping lever spring? :( ive looked everywhere. Also i ordered the full back plate on gunbroker but it only has one hole to snap the backplate cover into. I noticed yours has 2 rods that snap into the backplate. What did i order? Did i get a fake? :( hoping someone can help. Ill post the youtube link to show you what i mean. Again i also need a clamping lever spring but cant find it anywhere :(

      j2alomar I saw your video! It could be POF mp5 stock, I see that its a bit cheap quality also. HK always has those two holes for most durability. It looks cast steel to me in your video.
      Also the color of mp5a3 stock is always two toned, black and grey. Very hard to see but it two colors.
      I see also that you got a white buffer, it should be more yellowy tone, I dont have mine installed. I think the seller mixed some parts POF and HK. POF has more of a black paint finish, HK has more matt black/grey
      Could also be Zenith part, looks more like it. They use cast steel parts, not HK Germany quality. I can tell by the weilding of the backplate, also cheap manufacture, one hole at the back, It should be two holes like mine

  • @hawkin223

    that looks like a HK33 stock by looking at where the rubber buffer should be on an MP5 stock.
