Ajax Paving has done this on major interstate highways here in Michigan, absolutely incredible how quick they are able to mobilize, execute then demobilize in order to minimize the impact on morning traffic.
I do maintenance here in Houston TX on freeways or service rds and it’s basically the same process we also use volumetric trucks . Saw cut, drill , lay down re bar and pour concrete, loved the vid !
aaron, your videos are absolutely incredible and very eye opening to the world around us. my only complaint is your videos are so short! please, let us see more!!!
I was doing a rental job as a truck driver for a company that was working at Logan international airport in boston. On the airstrip. First thing I was asked is do I have a felony because if I did, I could not do the job. You pull up to a certain gate they check your ID make, sure you’re not a felon. Then the dog walks around the truck, guy walks around with a mirror looking under then they lift up my cab, and after that, I’m allowed to go in then I am escorted by a state trooper to where I am going. It was so cool. I was driving next to big commercial planes. 20 feet from me. Only thing that stinks is every time I leave to go dump my material when I come back, I have to go through that whole process again. Other than ID being checked only time they checked out again as the following day when I was there again. That was a really cool experience.
I did this exact work years ago at LAX, process is identical, only thing different we would add dowel baskets at the joints where they line up to existing slabs! Slabs were I believe 20-24” thick don’t recall!
At Newcaslte Airport here in NSW Aus, Downer are replacing and extending the runway, but they are using hotmix with a mobile batch plant just off site.
Great work Aaron, love the videos Brother, absolutely mind boggled that theres not more Subs on this channel! You're showing men doing whaten do best!! Working Hard, and working Together as one Unit!! Good job and I can't wait for the next upload! God Bless you!
Hey man you should connect with Hartman & Company in Springfield Missouri. They got a big project shutting down a whole interstate highway due to it collapsed under the pavement and ripping it up and redoing it all in a certain amount of hours nonstop around the clock
Was this at O'Hare in Chicago by chance? I didn't catch the airport name being called out. Just flew in there on a layover on Sunday and they were doing the exact same thing, job site looked really similar.
Then there’s us in the UK, we will close any road or major infrastructure for 3 years with terrible temporary solutions just whilst 300 road workers sit on stand around smoking rollies.
Rapid Set cement, they provide cement for projects all over the world. Minimum 3,000 PSI in one hour, with a standard mix, higher strength if needed/wanted. Did many interstate bridge resurfacing projects when I worked for them, shut down a lane of traffic at Friday nite 11:00 pm and have the entire bridge resurfaced and open for traffic before Monday morning at 4:00 am. With traffic always getting by in at least one lane.
Your tired??? Your cold?? Dude, you only stayed there for couple hours man what about the final product? At least show the one from last night??? Bad work man
Hello everyone nice to meet you .I am from nepal.i am heavy equipment operator.i operator Jcb backhoe, Wheel loader, Excavator, Bubcat, ROAD ROLLER, Dumtruck 😊, Forklift etc bro
I can understand why more people aren’t subscribing: stop talking, you barely made it through the event obviously and you did’t show the finished product!! Wtf man? I sat through the entire video and was majorly disappointed that you couldn’t get to the end. If I’m going to waste my time the least you could do is stick it out…man up.
He’s airside at an international airport!! There’s strict rules and times frames that can get you airside. You can’t exactly take your dog for a walk 🤡
video too short!!! at least 20 minute videos! Explain jobsite, show job site. explain something, show it, little montage, explain something, show it, mini montage.

Its hard to believe this channel doesnt get more views. Every man should be subscribed to this channel
we're working on it! Thank you for watching
I'm surprised Aaron did not mention more about how this process may be similar or different at other airports.

They have video from Europe which is quite different
he's not the best teacher. just likes to point and look cold. more in depth information would be good.

Man you are blessed to have the channel you have. You get to see so much cool stuff 😎
it's not a bad gig!!
Loving every kids dream being around construction toys (machines)
Why, Aaron, is there no reinforcement steel bar in the airport's paved concrete?
1:52 in the evening? You mean morning?
Good on you for catching this and for having the background to offer intelligent commentary.

thanks for the tip
Peeps who build pools use those kind of cement mixers a lot. Pretty slick.
A mile of road will take you a mile, but a mile of runway will take you anywhere.

Great video Aaron cheers from Greg in Australia 🇦🇺
thanks for watching Greg!
I was always under the impression that concrete required a rear grid. How does this stuff work??
Huh. Interesting ! runway apron = thick slab = no rebar….learned something new today. thanks Aaron 👍
least I can do
That's a well oiled crew! Fantastic stuff
yeah they were fantastic to watch
Amazing
Nuroad ltd does this on the 407 etr highway in Toronto. The highway was built with concrete
Don't work many night shifts?
safety caps cast in with the pour?

Wow, I work at the airport and remember the night they did this. I was literally a few metres away working international ramp 🤣
Awesome video! Really enjoy these.
Very cool methods being used here.
this is insane, thanks witt
My grandson who's almost 27 is the project manager there and this is his crew.. pretty cool eh
Как попасть туда на работу? я работаю машинист экскаватора в москве
Great videos love watching them
Aaron it’s tuber. I’m still trying to get you out here for wind turbine installations.
That must be some fast acting concrete to hold a plane up
Man i thought they were doing the whole runway! Lol
Great video though!
Didn't know there was airport-grade concrete that could cure that fast. Neato
Shits thick. Look how it barely falls off the chute. Idk what temp it is there, but that would dry fast.
Auckland International Airport could learn a thing or two, instead of taking months to do the exact same job.
everyone on the internet "iT doesn't hAvE REbaR"
Your tired??? Your cold?? Dude, you only stayed there for couple hours man what about the final product? At least show the one from last night??? Bad work man
