Since these engines run hotter than hell itself, they require specific heat resistant alloys in the aft section that burn blue in the presence of hydrogen sulfide at high temperatures as it breaks down (hence the blue flame and yellowish exhaust of the hydrogen burning and sulfur escaping). The inner lining of the turbines is literally physically and chemically ablating away when the afterburners are in use a lot like those cheap, shitty, green burning lighters you get at a 99 cent store. In short, shitty engines, shitty fuel, kinda cool looking.

AIM-9X isn’t in game because Gaijin doesn’t like the US/NATO having good missiles (unless they’re Russian exports). The best US missiles we have are the AIM-7M (which isn’t comparable at all to the R-27R, not even mentioning the R-27ER or R-27ET) and the AIM-9M which isn’t as good of a dogfighting missile as the R-73 since it has 10G less maneuverability. First firing of the experimental AIM-7M was in 1980 and first production was in 1982. The R-27R and R-27T were adopted in 1987 and the R-27ER and R-27ET were adopted in 1990. So what you’re saying is that for the R-27R/T the US should actually get the AIM-7P, since they entered production in the same year, or the AIM-120A since that was produced only a year later. For the R-27ER/ET we should get the AIM-120B, which was adopted only a couple years after the R-27ER/ET. Don’t forget that Gaijin themselves know that the R-27ER/ET is overpowered, they literally wrote that in their own Wiki.
