It was released in 2009, paying homage to Michael and Alexander McQueen. Her videos are all being remastered and re-released I believe in an effort to create more interest for the the release of "Black Diamond" which should be dropping sometime soon. If you check her Essence festival concert from a few months ago, you'll see that at 56 she still puts on a better show than a lot of the younger , newer people. She was also seen in several front rows during fashion week giving looks! She's the QUEEN! Love your reactions, btw!

the song was not an homage to Michael. Also, Janet already recorded that song far before Michael's passing
@@billyjohn7846 really the "don't stop til you get enough/ get it up" part is definitely a rift of "don't stop til you get enough" in fact it sounds like she's singing over a sample, explain the intent of that part if it's not homage to Michael. Michael passed in June 2009 the song was released in September 2009.
@@htbald1 You are right, sounds similar however Janet and Michael always had the same exact funkiness. She recorded it way before. In the record industry it takes about 1 month to get your song approved and distributed. Janet would not have recorded that song while mourning Michael's passing and also she was shooting 'Why Did I Get Married Too' alongside writing the book True You as well as doing her Nutrisystem advertisements and VMA performance.

even though it was released in 2009, the song sounds fresh that it could be mistaken for a new release, which is why many who commented on the remastered video did not realize that this is an old song..the music is bold n the music video is modern looking..i guess it did not garnered alot of attention back then but now many r paying attention..clearly shows that this music is ahead of its time lol

This song and video released in 2009 BUT it was recently Re-released about a week ago. This was during the Velvet Rope 25 year reunion when she did a Re-release of that album.
