- Prince William has struck up an unlikely friendship with Hollywood A-lister Cate Blanchett. The pair have been no stranger to each other in the past, having met on the red carpet for a variety of film premieres and special events including the Hobbit in 2012, and the Royal Marsden fundraising gala in 2014.
However, it was their shared passion for the environment and a determination to tackle climate change that saw them become friends. When Prince William launched the Earthshot Prize in late 2020, the multi-award-winning actress joined the ‘Earthshot Prize Council’ to help steer the climate initiative throughout the year, as well as helping to judge the annual Earthshot Prize.
The pair were reunited at the British Academy Film Awards 2024 where the Prince and actress sat together through the star-studded awards show.

Can I give you a little free Legal advice? What you're doing is punishable in civil court. Cate Blanchett's name was mentioned once in close to a 1000 pages of unsealed documents. It was said during a cross examination that goes as follows:
The questioner asked if the witness ever met Blanchett or DiCaprio, which they deny, pointing out that Epstein had a habit for name-dropping while she would massage him.
“So you had not met Cate Blanchett or Leonardo DiCaprio?” Ask the questioner.
“I have not,” respond the witness.
Throughout the 900+ unsealed pages, this is the only instance in which DiCaprio, Diaz, Willis, and Blanchett are mentioned - where the witness denies ever meeting them or that they had presence on Epstein’s island.@@yennefervengerberg1304
What is wrong with them having a friendship. They have common interests such as Earthshot. Clearly she is discreet so she is not blabbing to every media hack when they do meet up about what was discussed etc.
They are also colleagues, working together on the Earthshot Prize ..nothing sinister about the friendship.

Just as Prince Philip was always accused of cheating on the Queen, Prince William is always accused if cheating on Catherine. As the Queen, herself, said she knew the Prince never cheated, I do not believe his grandson Prince William is cheating. Prince Philip was once asked by an aide "I was with you all day yesterday when did you say that, I never heard you say it". Prince Philip's reply was classic. I didn't say it, but it sounds like something I would say so I might as well take credit for it. Every time Prince made a friend of a woman he was accused of cheating, at the same time the Queen would go riding with an ecquerry or walk with one, she was never accused. I think the only reason Prince Philip was, because of his cheating father.
